You should make a soap for Lily! Change it slightly, or dramatically, as she grows up. Then when she’s old enough to change it, let her make changes.

Hello, novice soap-maker here! I tried this recipe today and I was wondering if the frosting is supposed to take significantly longer to dry than the actual soap. I made my batch this morning and the cake part of the soap seems completely hard but the frosting is still creamy. I’m wondering if it takes a day or two to dry down or if I messed it up somehow?
@Rensremedies6 жыл бұрын
Caitlyn Carr had this same issue. The first time I made it the stuff hardened right away, and so I decided to do a large batch. It’s been about 18 hours and still soft. So weird. Wondering what happened.
@tinytimfangurl54616 жыл бұрын
Ren's Remedies It took almost 2 weeks for mine to finally harden- so strange! I ended up having to cut it into bars and let the frosting completely harden after they were cut up. The next batch I made hardened instantly but looks a lot less nice and realistic and glossy than the original batch I made. They looked the same in the bowl but look completely different piped. The original batch was smooth and piped beautifully and remained glossy, the next batch looks almost like whipped buttercream with more air bubbles in it. I prefer the first batches appearance and more flexible time window, but the dry time just isn’t very realistic for me. Not sure why they turned out so different.

I've used this and it stays a marshmallow like not really hard I even tried adding kaolin clay if I were to give it a star rating 1-5 it would be a 3 it's hard to work with. Really like doing CPOP after an hour in oven at 150-160* it goes through gel I let it sit in oven till next day. Less cure time do about 2 weeks to harden up bars. Or a fluid HP I don't like waiting 6wks for CP I'm impatient

**wonders to self** will I die if I eat these cupcakes? Oh sod it... I’m gonna eat them anyway! They look totally worth it!! Possibly RIP Me! 🍰🤪 *Actual serious point:* I do a LOT of baking, so I’d recommend when whipping stuff, try using a slightly wider container. It gives you more air across the surface of your mixture. You’re whipping it to add air, so the more air available across the top surface allows for faster whipping. Ps: I still wanna eat those cupcakes 🤪🤪

Thanks Katie! Very similar to my recipe, except I add 3 TB powdered egg whites and 1 TB glycerine and no shea but I want to try your recipe. I would love to eliminate the egg whites. I think mine really i creases in volume. I can pipe 15 cupcakes with the same measurements. I like thay and probably it is due to the egg whites, which is great for the skin. Egg white soap is popular in Scandinavian countries.
