What a relief when you said “man! That log is hard, it’s hard dry ash”. I was thinking geez this saw is taking a long ass time to get through there. But I take it back, I was just testing out an 020T that I’m playing with on a piece of hard dead ash as well. Boy was I thinking how dense this thing had become. Always a joy to learn more from you all. Sincerely 🤙

Tin-man, I don’t even own a power saw and never used one in my life never mind fix em or modify them. Keep building the brand and growing the channel.

One of the best saws ever made. I’m lucky enough to own two and getting a third going again, and stupid enough to have sold a brand new one for next to nothing in 2012 before moving to Australia.

Great info, I got handed one of these about 2 weeks ago by a pal who climbs, I just tuned it and gave it back, he said it worked perfect for a whole day then acted up again so I stuck on an after market carb, it runs ok but When I tuned it cos I thought it rev'd too high, now I know different Thanks very much from Scotland

My lord I'm glad everybody in the family is good. Thats Most important. I know I'm not a big donater but I look forward to your videos more than anybody else's. I'm an old guy that loves knowledge about power saws. I'm a 288 xp guy and you do a lot of work on them saws. I've also got a 394 from 1998. It's non xp & I believe it's an EPA model. It's a case, carb & intake. Plus fuel tank and handle. Oh and a jug and piston. I'll be having questions once it warms up outside. Later

Always found with climbing saws with 1 bar nut, adjust the chain looser than you want it. When you tighten the bar nut fully it tightens the bar up a bit more. Always catches the now groundies out!

This is going to be a great build

Do you know what carb PN/rev has worked best in your experience? The 200T has had many.

I have a husqvarna T435 top handle that i use for trail maintenance here on the west coast. I carry it on my back it will tackle up to 24" blowdowns. I would like to do some porting to it. Do you think it is worth it

Are Oem oil pumps worth it for Stihl or do I save a few bucks and by the cheapie? Only for a limbing saw ms250. Opinion anyone?
@tinmanssaws Жыл бұрын
It's a crap shoot..some aftermarket pumps work some dont.
@troy3052 Жыл бұрын
Go with the oem
@arboristlife3494 Жыл бұрын
Definitely go OEM. What's the question about the MS250? I love those little guys. It doesn't take much to turn them into a real Monster.

Hey tinman I just picked up a homelite xl 925 super and was wondering where I can find parts like a cylinder, I can find a piston just not a cylinder. Any Leeds would be appreciated brother!!

Yeah and split it. The hardest I've ever been hit in my life. Bucked trunk block of ash in 0* weather on a splitter with knots...thing blew apart and hit me in the chin. Knocked me straight on my back
