Pro for those skyscraper climbs. We use hand pump suction cups when installing large windows, stone counter tops or heavy sheet goods like solid surface tub surrounds. Need to look into these electric ones.

Dumb design, the suction can’t be locked in place so if the battery drains or fails, it just falls off.

Unless you have evidence to the contrary, I'm guessing this thing pumps through a one-way valve and should hold suction just fine as long as you have a perfect seal along the gasket and the surface. If that seal leaks a little, as it probably does against this rough wood beam, the compressor will need to "outrun" the leakage.
