I have worn nothing by Injinji socks for nearly a year and I’ll never buy another brand of sock ever again unless I have to. I absolutely love them.
@hectordehesa211810 күн бұрын
I loved that brand too but they seem to not last too many washes for me. I found sound from Amazon that feel pretty good for less money and more pairs.

ive been wearing injinji's for a long time now. The problem with the dryer can be simply fixed by taking them off with the toes right side in rather than just pulling them off regularly, saves a ton of time. For putting them on, instead of trying to put them on like normal socks, I pull the socks up till the toe part reaches my toes, then to put the toes in i shove my fingers inbetween my toe gaps to put them in place. Please dont stray away from injinji's people, they are excelent socks and not hard to use once you learn to do it right

Great comments on Injinji sox. For long distance hiking they are hands down the most important tool in the bag for avoiding toe blisters.

I seriously live and die by those Injinji socks. If I couldn’t buy them, I’d be troubled. I work, train, and race trail runs in them. I’ve worn three pairs for over two years and they’re still fine.

Huge fan of the injinji line, and wear the smart wool versions, including when I race. I don't wear them when I'm in Vibram FiveFingers(Spyridon or V-Trail 2.0).
@TheBarefootStrengthProject Жыл бұрын
Any top tips for getting them on quicker or is it a case of repetition and perseverance?
@austinado16 Жыл бұрын
@@TheBarefootStrengthProject It seems like I just had to try a few different methods. Typically I get the big toe lined up to that socket of the sock, and then as that's being inserted, I use my fingers to rake the rest of the sockets onto my other 4 toes. It's not very scientific, but it seems to work okay. It's how I put the FiveFingers on, as well.
@AZ-if2mj Жыл бұрын
I put mine on similarly. I normally wear the thick crew length that goes over the ankle and almost to the calf muscle. My daily put-on method has a few steps: (1) pull full sock over the ball of foot but do not pull over heel and up ankle like normal socks. (2) Line the toes up to their pockets using fingers between toes. (3) Use fingers to pull fully over #1 big toe. (4) Repeat seating each toes from #2 to #5 in order; maybe put sock over heel if bunching. (5) Use fingers to press between each toe to fully seat each toe. (6) Pull sock somewhat taut over heal to fully seat toes; wiggle toes. (7) Pull up ankle. (8) I pull the sock at the tip of the big toe (off direction) to give it a bit more space after pulling up ankle. I find I need to keep my toe nails (especially big toe) trimmed low, else the big toe can wear a hole over time if the nail protrudes.
@austinado16 Жыл бұрын
@@AZ-if2mj Yep, that's what I do. And yes, the toenails have to be kept up, otherwise, socks and shoes are getting holed.

I haven't tried the other brands but as a long time injinji wearer (a long time before i went barefoot) they are excellent. They last for about 10 years and you do get faster at putting them on, but if you have pairs of same color you do have to make sure you match them correctly 🦶

Within 2 weeks of starting to wear Injinji socks my 2nd toe, which had been curling into my big toe and was curved inward, separated and was no longer curled in, and this includes when I don’t have the socks on. Two months in, it’s holding. I’m a big fan! BTW I just air dry them as I do with all my socks.

Injini offers merino wool toe socks in both thin and thick knitting; I wear the thick and Splay shoes every day. The merino wool is naturaly antimicrobial and my toes have never been so healthy. Athlete's foot, pain and chaffing are now completely gone without any treatment besides having the skin in full contact with merino wool and no skin-on-skin. Unlike cotton socks, the Injini merino wool toe socks stay clean, stay dry, do not harbor fungus, and can be worn for several days if you need; I have many pairs, cold wash inside-out and hang dry. They are harder to put on but like anything, some practice makes it much faster. I wear thin Injini merino toe socks on those occassions that I need to wear a suit and formal narrow toe shoes. They make for some fun and educational conversation at the airport.

I have a pair of Injinji toe socks, and a pair of Creepers toe socks. Given that I am currently almost exclusively wearing my Vibram Five-Fingers shoes, toe socks are the only option that works for me. When it comes to speed of putting them on ... some times they just slip right on, each toe just sliding in like magic. Other times ... well, you wouldn't want to be in a hurry. Fortunately though, once the socks are on, the shoes generally go on pretty smoothly! 🙂 The biggest problem I have with toes socks (apart from general fiddliness) is that I have fairly long toes. Finding toe socks that don't feel like I've got webbed feet can be difficult -- although Creeper's new design has definitely improved the toe length!
@TheBarefootStrengthProject Жыл бұрын
You’re not the first person to bring up the creepers! I’m going to have to track a pair down… repetition seems to be the trick with Injinjis, I’m going to commit to wearing them (and them alone!) for a couple of months to see if it 1) gets easier and 2) facilitates further toe splay..
@darkphoenix68 Жыл бұрын
They generally seem to feel like they’re getting easier - until one day you end up jamming three toes into one slot and spend five minutes questioning your life choices as you try to detangle yourself. (Or maybe that’s just me!) 😏

Found some really great ones from Amazon called Cool Max, 30 bucks for 3 pair and they have lots of colors and styles. I’ll never go back to regular socks.

I wear injinji on the daily for my sock honestly he says how long they take to put on i dont have an issue i can get them on in probably 15 seconds or less. I also dont have a problem when they come out of the dryer of the toes being inside out. when i did first get them though i did have to test certain ways of taking them off so they wouldnt go inside out but i think they are very comftorble. and i would like to point out when he put on the injinjis unless he didnt have them pulled over his toes all the way looked a little small for him as the heel of the sock was in the center of his foot.

Never thought I would get into toe socks... Started wearing the heavier injinji this year in an effort to help spread out my toes and get more mobility, problem is it worked, but now most of my shoes don't fit... I love them and they fit my kind of stubby toes, but they aren't cheap.

I tried and bailed on the Injinji socks. Besides being hard to put on, the length of each toe “pocket” is not suitable for all feet. They were uncomfortable and always noticeable, despite marketing that says you will get accustomed to it. I go sockless most of the time! Thanks!!
@TheBarefootStrengthProject Жыл бұрын
Can't blame you - they're cumbersome to say in the least! I'll pull them out for long hikes but otherwise, I think the Feelgrounds will be my go to. One more test would be great: how do they fit into various shoes? The Injinjis fit into anything afaict (including Vibrams), but how much extra toebox space do e.g. the tabi socks require in order not to make trouble?

You need more practice with the Injinjis. I’ve worn them for years and they take the same time to put on as a running sock with a liner. Just splay your toes and they wiggle on quickly. Wearing a pair of thin merino wool toe socks underneath a larger tube sock is great for winter hiking. No blisters and toasty toes.

You should look into khuffains. Or leather socks. Muslims can wear these as part of their ablution before prayers. They generally need to be durable and water proof. I think you might find some intrest in them. Just search up khuffain, or khuffs, or lesther socks. You may or may not be disappointed but you definitely will not have a problem telling a story about them whether you end up liking them or not... I also definitely don't have ulterior motives of trying to get you to maybe test them out as a scape goat for myself. I would never do something so horrendous...😅
