I've been eating pudding cookies since I was a child, we still have the original recipe from the box. You really do need to make the cookies from scratch, you want to add the pudding mix after you cream the butter and sugar together so just adding it at the end won't give you that proper chewy consistency. But that banana muffin recipe sounds so easy, gonna have to try it.
@cassidy86554 жыл бұрын
The recipe that I use basically replaces white sugar with pudding mix. So you just use brown sugar and a packet of pudding mix

Also with the pudding try this recipe instead of just adding pudding mix to pre made cookie dough. Will make a world of difference. They stay soft and chewy like right out of the oven for days. If they last that long: 1 C softened butter 3/4 C brown sugar 1/4 C white sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 2 1/4 C AP flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 package of pudding mix (vanilla for regular or use different pudding for different flavors) 12 oz bag of chocolate chips Cream butter and sugars Add eggs one at a time and mix well between Add vanilla Add flour (no need to sift), baking soda and pudding mix. Mix until just combined Add chocolate chips and mix in Spoon out onto baking sheet. (If dough is very wet looking, put in fridge for 10 mins) Bake 8-10 mins at 325

My parents and I have had about 5-10 cookies each since then and we still have like half of the batch left. So we’re gonna bring it down a bit next time, but it was so fun! Also I did refrigerate the dough before cooking like you said and I couldn’t believe how much of a difference it made! The first batch in the oven I didn’t put in the fridge and it became one giant cookie! But then with the ones after I had more cookies on a tray, which all stayed separate, and they tasted way better

I never tried pudding mix in with cookies but I have for a long time put it in cake mix and sweet loaf breads like banana bread etc. It seems to make them a bit more moist. Especially with the Amish Friendship Bread. I would try different flavors of pudding to see what was better (regular vanilla, white chocolate cheesecake, pistachio etc.). I definitely want to try that mini muffin one. It looks like great quick snack for the kids.

One of my favorite cookies to make are cream cheese and pudding mix cookies. The recipe on Pinterest is for pistachio cookies, but I tweak it, since it's very versatile. I will make cheesecake cookies with dried blueberries, or dried cherries. Literally you can make it with any pudding mix flavor and any mix-ins you like, it's amazing, and the cookies are really soft and not too sweet.

dear rachel, fun fact because you like soft prezels :) as you may know, they are originally from germany and here we like to eat them like this: you slice the prezel in half (like a bagel) and put a generous amount of butter on it and then top it off with freshly cut chives (no mustard needed). Put the top back on and enjoy :) in germany you can get them like this in every bakery, it‘s a popular snack!

On chocolate pretzels: I once made a pizza-sized cookie and then, while it was still warm and soft, I made it sweet and salty and stuck e.g. mini snack pretzels, English toffees, dark chocolate and other kinds of goodies into it. ❤️ I made it as a birthday cake for a friend who did not like pizza and put it into a pizza box. 😁 You can actually coat pretzel sticks with chocolate and make "magic wands" by sprinkling them with decorations. Or coat mini pretzels and do the same. Now I wonder if you could take the banana muffin batter and make waffles out of it... And if you could make cookie pretzel bites. And if Chris is a t-shirt model. 😄❤️ If I produced shirts I would want him to like and wear mine, I'd pay him.

I'm not entirely sure if this pudding mix is the same as what you can buy in Germany (although the picture on the packaging looks similar), but we often make cinnamon rolls with pudding. They are soooooo yummy and fluffy! And there's this baked good called "Puddingbrezel" (pudding pretzel) which is a yeast-leavened dough (think of a Danish pastry) shaped into a pretzel, but you place the knot in a way that you get two big holes and those are filled with pudding! It's soooooooo delicious!
