Been replaying Arkham Knight (my fav Arkham game haha, in my mind its the complete package) for the 7th or 8th time. This time on my Steam Deck OLED. Suprisingly, it runs butter smooth with the in-game fps set to 90, and the Steam Deck OLED fps set to 45 fps at 90 Hz. I have been playing for hours on end, and I am shocked, No stuttering, smooth af gameplay. First I tried playing at 720 resolution, and normal-low settings. However, last week I switched to native 800 resolution, and all settings set to Normal, and the same fps I mentioned earlier, with motion blur enabled. ITS AMAZING!!! I keep forgetting its 10 years old. What a game.

Of them all, I think Asylum has the best atmosphere, City has the best story, Origins has the best boss fights, and Knight has the best mechanics.

I remember getting these a while back on steam exclusively cause I wanted to play them again on deck. Ended up 100 percenting them all for the first time ever. The first two ran beautifully pretty much maxed out and knight ran at a solid 30 also maxed out. Lovely way to play these games

OLED is notorious for VRR flicker so it's probably best to not have it on portable.

Not really that crazy, Switch is a 2010 chipset running at 5 watts. It's actually crazy most games and ports run on it at all.

@@SantiagoSantiago Built in Vsync i get u meant "allow tearing option" disabled right ? Aren't we supposed to disable Vsync when locking games below refresh rate on a non variable refresh rate screen since steam deck screen does not have Variable refresh rate like Asus Rog ally. With Vsync and locking games below refresh rate, it causes micro stutters thats why ur frame time graph was not consistent.

Yes, allow tearing is off, you can put allow tearing on, then enable vsync in-game, it will match the refresh rate you choose in the steam menu

With all respect for the effort but its crazy just how weak the steam deck is. Its equivalent to an gtx 570 in raw power. You cant even max out 360 era games on a 550€ console that you can max out on a 200€ pc. Its primarily a handheld for sure but they should seriously consider make a new one with atleast double ir not tripple the performance.
