I have the 580s older brother the RX 480 that I kept as a troubleshooter after upgrading to a 6700xt. Those polaris cards have always punched above their weight. Still worth it if you are on a tight budget and can find one on the cheap.

Fun Fact: If you enable FSR Ultra Performance, FG+Lossless Scaling X3+AFMF (if that does work lol) at 1080P. Technically, 11/12 of the frames are fake and 88.89% of the pixels are upscaled. That means that for every 12 frames, theoretically, only 0.93% of the pixels are not frame-generated or upscaled.

6800 gang its a masterpiece so far I have a freesync monitor those dips into the 50s are unnoticeable to me period in any game such a underated card for 369.99. also the r 6800 was always 4k capable for gaming lol just not always ultra and not always a 60 fps experience, I hook it upto my tv all the freaking time and its always a good time.

rx 6800m its basically a 6700xt (obviously slower then desktop version) with 12gb of vram it's really fast in pure raster performance, really good gpu for a laptop faster than 3070m an closed to 3080m

This has been a godsent from AMD. Hopefully more games quickly implement FSR 3.1 and FG. Will save a lot of us on older GPUs. Btw, you should do Spiderman Remastered next in this three 3 GPU format. Been testing it with my 3080 and I can play at 1440 Max with RT and get over 100fps now. It's like magic.

Nukem DLSS3/FSR3 FG Mod was already working flawlessly perfect on RTX 30 series cards including Spider man Remastered as well.. Maybe you didn't know that but yeah it's now supporting official FSR3.1 Frame Generation which also works totally fine 👍🏻

Personally, I wouldn't use any of these upscalers at 1080p because the internal resolution is too low to get solid image quality on the big screen, but on small screens like the portable PC gaming devices, it's probably passable. Ideally, FSR 3.1 and any of the other upscalers should be used at 1440p or above, so it's got enough detail to resolve the image, and as for frame gen, 60fps or above seems to work great for most, but depending on the game, you can probably get away with 50 or 40fps. It will be interesting to see how far these upscalers can be pushed on lowering the resolution whiles maintaining good image quality, and the same for frame gen in lowering the frame rate whiles keeping latency low, odds are, both areas will be improved upon by AMD, Nvidia and Intel, I say Intel because I suspect it's only a matter of time before they implement frame gen in XeSS, the quality of all these are very likely going to continue to get better over the coming years that the difference from native resolution and frame rate could become so small to not matter to most of us. As for if there is any difference from FSR and DLSS, the perceived difference is becoming so small that it really doesn't matter to most gamers in a normal gaming session, in other words, not pixel peeping for flaws, and also, considering this is the first outing of FSR 3.1 and the first few games to use it, the results could get better as developers find ways to fine tune FSR 3.1 for better quality.

Fsr fg is a hit or miss. When it works, it works amazingly well. Like in avatar for example, its like playing native just with double the fps. Minimal latency. While other games have terrible artifacts and high latency. It really needs some work from the devs side too, to work optimally.

5:28 you have to test the Rx 580 and 1080Ti on a 1080p monitor!! Not a 1440p or a 4K monitor!! You will see more noise than usual on a 1440p monitor and 4K, you are only at 1080p and 720p ish with the RX580 and 1080 TI. I’m wondering what it looks like with a 1080 P monitor???

I played the game on 1080p diss quality on an 4060 and had also about 115 to 130 fps and I found it looked better than the fsr 3.1 you showed in this video. and the cars look strange with fsr frame generation

AMD is doing excellent and I’m so proud of them. They even got me to buy Miles Morales Spider-Man just because of FSR 3.1. I’m playing it right now. Right before that though I was playing Spider-Man to check out FSR 3.1 and I was thoroughly impressed. I hope they improve even further and quickly now that they have simple DLL upgradable files like Nvidia

The game runs at about 100 fps with amd FG, but when I activate the Fsr 3.1 in quality it goes up to about 125 and the fluidity is quite noticeable, so should I play in native or rescaled?

This game doesn't have a memory leak per say. It just doesn't allocate enough VRAM at the start and it slowly builds up. So just use potato textures and you won't have "leaks".

It is probably that the 6800 is undervolted and the clocks are lowered so the fan has no problem to keep this temperatures. 185W and 2150Mhz seems really low.

Hey kryzps i recently upgrade from rtx 2060 to rx 7800xt, one of the best upgrade i have ever made. Im still using i5-10400f tho and ddr4 2600mhz ram, should i upgrade to b650m with ryzen 5 7500f and with ddr5 6400mhz? or should i go with b760m with i5-13400f and ddr4 3200mhz? in terms of price to performance and this build should last 3-5 years. Can i suggest something? Right now I think I'd prefer ryzen cpus over intel's. If you care about only gaming performance then the two processors you listed perform almost the same with the ryzen being a bit slower. If you would want to upgrade after the 2-5 years point then the ryzen would be better. Actually I think spending a bit more for the 7600 base model or the x variant is a better choice. Also I think in 5 years amd would have had come out with the ryzen 10th gen atleast, so you could get like a 9800x3d for cheaper so the upgradability wouldn't be very hard for you and not cost like more than only the price of the processor alone.
