@@gicuchad91101 Bro the PC building community is moving so fast for me. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I recently got downvoted to oblivion on reddit for referring to the rx 6700 xt as a new card. Like, for most people, even 5 years is still new because that's when the GPUs become affordable. I really do not get the accelerationism surrounding PCs. Cards like the 1080 or the rx 580 are still viable to this day for most people. So this hype to get everyone to upgrade to the latest piece of metal and plastic is getting on my nerves.

I found that I preferred higher real framerate + gsync vs forcing lower real frame rate to generate frames with no gsync suppprt. The lower real framerate is from the performance cost of the tool and needing to have a stable fps for it to work properly. I was actually surprised at how gsync makes a lower real framerate not feel as bad. This is just my 2 cents though I hope this tool can help others alot more.

@@saiyaman9000 Had very similar experience. I prefer 40-50fps with gsync over 80fps generated. Picture is more stable and responsive. And indeed gsync with LFC makes it feel pretty good.

Great video. Saude! I have a RX 6600XT/R9 5900X combo and I have been attempting to optimize my PC games to feel more like the smoothness of consoles. Therefore I have been locking the frame rate to 60 or 75 FPS in non competitive titles to even out the frame time graph. I have noticed that I get motion sickness with a super high refresh rate. Also, my computer does not have to work as hard if I cap a decent, but lower frame rate. In my area of the world right now, its 100 degrees F (37 C) outside. I am trying to keep those temps down and also enjoy a stutter free, and smooth frame rate experience.

vram was not running out on the 1060 its a implementation issue, you can clearly see it was only using 4 to 5 gb and 3.5gb at medium with fg , something else is wrong

On my laptop with a Ryzen 9 4900HS and RTX 2060mq, it hated upscaling but FG got me 110 to 150 at 1080p. Very surprised how well it worked.

I "like" how some people write "it's not enough vram for FG, so it's lagging"). Are you serious guys? One guy in comments wrote that AMD old cards like RX 570/580 4gb have up to 100 fps with FG. No one of "vram counters" can't say that AMD broke its technology for gtx. If you really say, that 6gb of vram is not enough for it, remember CP 2077 and FG mod. Gtx 1060 (3gb!!!) has up to 60 fps on medium setting with FG mod on 1080p (native has about 30). So AMD is good company, it tries to give to old cards life but they need to fix it for good result.

Awesome to see it actually does work as advertised and is available for almost every GPU. AMD was always more generous than Nvidia. Also its interesting to see how 4k with 6900XT lowered your CPU temps by 10 degrees as you got rid of that bottleneck. What is your ambient temp during these hot days? I got around 25 during the day. frame gen is overrated, the extra frames it creates aren't real frames and wont make the game feel smoother unless you already have high fps. nvidia themselves recommend only using it if your fps is at least 40 which you're going to struggle to get on older hardware on more modern games.

Yeah, I think the frame gen is broken in this implementation for 10-series GPUs, I tried to use frame gen on my GTX 1080 with this and had the exact same issues as you did. Would be curious if it also failed on the 1080 Ti since it has more vram, but I would assume so, I don't think it's a vram issue. Otherwise, I've been playing at 4k 60fps on my GTX 1080 but with ITGI, it improves performance and at 4k balanced without pixel peeping, looks as good or better than FSR 3.1 while performing better

this is exactly what happens on my 1060 with lossless scaling, the card just cant do frame generation for some reason. You should do a video trying different games with the 1060.

The FG for FSR3 is very good in this game, using mods to increase the swing speed by 2x it still keeps up with the speed and camera and I really don’t see any artifacts in gameplay.

Hey potato chips unrelated comment but I watched an older fortnite video the reason 1% lows are so bad in performance mode is because you switch renderers and shaders need to be compiled again. It's literally just dx11 with some reduced effects

Frame generation is broken on these FSR 3.1 games for some cards now which sucks, because I like to use native with frame gen as I dont think fsr is still good. hope its fixed soon. I have a 7900XT and still have lots of very bad stutter just at like 30 fps (like you got on the 1060)

I don't know what's going on with Frame Generation in this game, but for me, it doesn't work with these cards: GTX 1060, GTX 1070, GTX 1650, GTX 1650ti. I've tested these 4 cards and it stays at 5 FPS. However, there's no problem with Ghost Of Tsushima and Horizon; in my opinion, the game is just broken
