Hey VW mechanic, assuming this test could be performed whilst 😂 the glow plug is in the vehicle? Would you warm engine up when you remove these? Also, thanks for video on front Touareg struts, did all 4 with Bilstein B6. Rears were a bit easier in my opinion. I will say that I have the version that bolt from the top of rear compartment, not from underneath.

Yeh you can resistance test them fitted similar process to what you see here and yep I always have the engine at operating temperature and off of course before attempting to remove and massive thanks for the support and glad your all sorted with your struts 🫶

Hey buddy thanks for the comment, it’s tested in a very similar way just put the red probe in a different place but I’ll do a separate video on that to show everyone :)

Thanks for the tips. I was wondering why other videos tend to test glow plugs with the leads on different portions of the glow plug itself? It is a bit confusing as I am trying to make sure the glow plug that I am replacing is in fact a bad one. My "bad one" reads 0L with the method you showed. So it is for sure bad then? Thanks again.

Hey buddy the best way to look at it is if you put the negative from the threads down the shaft then that’s your earth as it uses the head of the engine to ground and then the very tip at the top for your positive lead as that’s where the plug from the car sits

I have a 2014 VW sport wagon TDI 2.0L throwing code P06B9 for cylinder 1 glow plug. Are these glow plugs the normal ones or the pressure sensor ones? Do I need to use OEM glow plugs or are there good aftermarket glow plugs? Where is a good place to purchase VW parts? Thank you.

Normal glow plug and I advise Bosch plugs they seem to be better quality and any motor factor will be able to sell you these
