Did you ever consider Rayworks Gold and Barter farm? It was a single kill chamber version of Ilmangos (it was much more fun to watch all the platforms funnel into one kill chamber) and since it used the exact same mechanics, it produces gold igots, in which a piglin with a full inventory grabs only gold ingots and barters while you afk. Pretty sick concept, honestly.

Please do this with iron farms - I know about 6 common designs and want to know which ones are best. :) Great vid, and I built the 4th one, the one you guys built. Don't care about a couple hrs building if you're going to spend all those hours AFK and get huge drops. I find the portal gold farm almost as easy (not fast) as the beginner one, and produces rates better than all but the 'heck no' redstone one. IMO it's the best of both worlds, although no xp but that's why we build (and then compare) Enderman farms.

With regards to any sort of farm, the ones I'm most interested in are the ones that are scalable. Most farms go for rates, which for me just don't matter that much because I'm just building for myself or a few people, not a whole server. What I care about is how long it takes to build, including collection of the items to build it.

The ilmango farm is my go-to XP farm. I don’t get why everyone talks about trashing the rotten flesh and swords though. I use the rotten flesh to trade with a few clerics in my trading farm for emeralds (which then gets traded for red stone) and i filter the swords into a smelting system that then feeds back into my gold nuggets storage. The only waste is the XP from enchanted swords but the farm is so good that that is negligible. Plus I haven’t had to mine for red stone in months.

Side note: The Blast Furnace allows you to melt metal tools/armor. So you can attach an auto-smelting farm to cycle the gold swords back into gold ingots. Lava buckets FTW as fuel.

I definitely would recommend gnembons gold farm. I have it in my world but I did not make a collection system and it is a super easy farm to build from my experience just takes a while to build. To counter the spawn proofing problem I just fly away and come back and there are so many that a lot of them die to entity cramming

Gnembon himself built a version with fewer platforms so the afk spot is higher and he wouldn't have to spawn proof. Not quite as fast, but fast enough. Personally, I never build exactly someone else's design. Always more fun to bodge together ideas and modifications. Ilmango's farm idea is the most amusing to me... It depends on a bug, but that's just more reason to build one now.

regarding spawn proofing, how about making a flying tnt bomber that clears the area completely, it is automated and quite fast. If not, just afk the minimum distance at build limit for insane rates. Gnembon's farm is the most practical one as it uses far fewer magma blocks which are a pain to mine due to lava everywhere. The redstone bit is quite doable too.

you could technically use looting if you use two accounts. Just place a layer of honey blocks over the hoppers and swing away. But it would probably be more practical to build an enderman farm because 25k nuggets an hour which is enough for what I use it for.

I made a hybrid Gold farm design of Ilmango and Gnembon's design on a server. Copy the platform layout of Gnembon's but then make a drop zone design of Ilmango's with entity cramming and the turtle eggs, then use lava to break the fall. Setup one aggro Zpiglin to look at the player and you'll gain XP rather than have to use weapons, because one hit on the falling Zpiglins is enough to trigger the aggro. The server im on has a mob cap so I cant provide accurate rates, but its pretty good.

Since 1.19 has added a mechanic that let nether mobs (including zombified piglins) spawn in portals, you can just create a gold farm in the netherroof that goes from y128 to y232 with just building and connecting portals. I tried it a few days ago and my PC lagged due to the incredible amount of piglins and zombified piglins the farm had produced. (This will require at least 4 double chest full of obsidian but it's worth it)

@Thucc gnembgon's farm is very efficient and easy to build but needs a lot of Materials The portal based farm is also good for gold but needs alot of magma and obsidion Ilmango's farm aur the simple gold farm would be best for begginers in my opinion I built the simple one in my survival world and it helps me alot to get enough gold for golden carrots and golden apples

I built the 4th farm on my friends server. It's not that hard, and we find it way easier to mine for magma than make a magma farm. But we also had 3 people working together and got the entire thing done is less than an hour after we had all the materials. Super worth it tho! Pro Tip: Have villagers you can trade rotten flesh for emeralds!

playing moded and needed a base Goldfarm design. Using dark utilities vector plates you can skip the eggs, use the first design to funnel the mobs into a 20 block drop to maximize spawns and use the vector plates to funnel them into a 1X1X2 Craming chamber. =D thanks for the Ideas!

You've done a great video, but in my opinion it's very important to say that you can add layers on the first farm. I've builded this farm with 8 layers and it produced more gold nuggets then all the other farms do.

Instead of burning gold swords, u can make an item sorter that leads into blast furnaces so you can smelt the swords into nuggets

some ppl play on SMPs why build the 2nd farm if after a while the server is going to reset you get 3 things in one not everyone needs that many emes. like It's a huge waste of time to build a raid farm Did you ever build one? It takes hours to gather materials and hours to build the damn thing you could prob get the villagers up onto the farm so you could trade with them real-time also, does a raid farm generate gold?

This is an odd way to get gold: breed 100s of pigs and then use a channeling trident during a thunderstorm to convert them all into zombified piglins and then kill them with a looting 3 sword
