I noticed the rubber badges coming loose within a couple of days on the display models at my local supercheap auto. It was one of those things where it instantly made me think the tools were more cheaply made than they probably were based off of your review.

I think its good that if you are an early adopter and register that you can get a lifetime warranty (obviously subject to their terms an conditions). Only time will tell how good they are. Generally, I find most generation 1 of tools will have their issues to be ironed out, hopefully by the second generation. Good if your tight on money and need some cheaper tools. Reminds me of when battery tools first come out in the early 2000's, my old man used to use a battery rattle gun and drill from Panasonic, they were good at the time, he still has them in my grandfathers old shed and they still work, just not as good as they used to of course.

even if you go on pricing alone its not good, hikoki has the same kit at the moment with more amp hours at the same price and redemption for two more 5ah batteries, its just another compony getting a white label manufacture to make tools for them. nothing new nothing special. the lifetime warranty isnt even good, the terms and conditions of it will allow them to worm out of most claims. stick to well established brands for power tools.

In my opinion, for these kincrome tools to do well they need to be competitive with the cheaper brands (ie Ryobi) not the mid level... its going to be a hard sell for them i think, but in saying that i think they are aimed at the weekend warrior not trade professionals.

Why would Kincrome intentionally try and give their brand a bad name? For such a high quality tool company i would've thought they'd put more thought in every aspect. Instead we get ozito tools in blue and 10 times the price. Will probably buy the full range when they improve over time give it a few years and maybe they will run the power tool section aswell.
