Useful tool, clearly demonstrated. Will still be using PS for some things like focus stacking.

Its brilliant the way Adobe are adding more and more tools to LIghtroom Classic, but also adding and making it easier to use Tools in Photoshop for people like me, who dont use PS very often. Anyway thanks Aaron for another great video.

This will save me hours of time now, and the advantage of not having to flip back to Photoshop anymore for each image I handle is much more convenient.

I tried using this last night on an image, to do a fairly simple removal (removing a wedge in the corner of the frame that I hadn't noticed wasn't covered by my backdrop), but I didn't like any of the versions it offers so I went over to Photoshop and tried the same thing and got a much better result. Using the generative AI in both cases.

I really enjoy your videos. I'll continue to use Photoshop some but for a long time almost everything I do can be done in Lightroom. I do some compositing work where Photoshop is essential, but other than that there's almost no need.

Oddly, this works better in LRC than in PS. And yes, I agree Adobe will implement text input with this feature at some future date.

It is impressive and I have had a couple of miraculous results with it BUT it has also returned some hilariously bad results so like all these things it's easily possible to break it. This is in ACR but it's the same as LR. One thing that it can help on and be quicker than any other method is to paint out LED banding. Doesn't always work but it's so relatively quick to try it's worth trying. When it works it is amazing.

This is amazing tool - I work with it since appeared in PS however eats tons of RAM .. as result my PC with i9 96 GB RAM and RTX 4090 often freezes .. with end message saying "low ram" ;) .... disappointing :/

@phlearn3 ай бұрын
Hi Graham! Depending on the complexity of the image you could explore two different approaches: - Use Generative Fill in Photoshop. It can be a little more precise than the one in LR. - Compositing: You might want to consider doing some manual adjustments, using tools like clone stamp or healing brush. Also, we have an amazing 3 part PRO series that covers object removal: phlearn.com/tutorial/simple-object-removal-photoshop/

Most of the time it works very well. However, yesterday I was trying to get rid of a piece of sidewalk in the corner and it kept enlarging the offending sidewalk. Not sure what was going on.

Adobe AI taking more jobs from skilled trained creators and editors one feature at a time. "Hey kids, all that money you spent at art school to become a professional photo retoucher/editor is now considered a waste of money. But, you still owe all those student loans. Those will NOT be generative Removed". It's becoming more and more sad to see happen.

still it's not the first time something like this happened? computers themselves also made some of the jobs redundant

@@baartus and then people were either retrained to find new jobs or new people took those jobs. Are we all meant to become prompt engineers?
@hieuluu24 ай бұрын
Or, AI is making skilled editors jobs much easier, giving them a faster workflow, after all, that's why we all love creating keyboard shortcuts and plug-ins, in return, you have more time to get on other projects to make more money. Example, I am a real estate photographer/videographer, before it take me hours to do sky replacement on a batch of photos, now I can do it in minutes, before it would take me, frame by frame to removed an object from video, now it takes me minutes, that leaves me with more time to shoot and edit, instead of doing one project every 2 or 3 days, I can shoot, edit, and delivered in one day, time is money.

Remember when photography was an artistic expression while documenting something you viewed for the world. Now it is just a cartoon.
@jamilgotcher3654 ай бұрын
Photography is not just for documenting or journalistic purposes. As someone who was an artist before they became a professional photographer I view Photoshop as an artist's tool. And for working photographer's it's a practical tool that you can use in post when you didn't have time during the session to get everything perfect. Even outside, I think, I don't have to wait for the people in the background to move out of my shot, I can just keep photographing my model and remove the people in the background later. Most consumers don't care how you got the shot, they buy what they like. In a perfect world, we could take all the time we needed to get the perfect shot but most of us are paying for studio time by the hour and have to keep it moving.
