Sir - you are overdriving your input. This is indicated by a yellow (warning), then red (overdrive) of the level bar in the IR measurement window (1:10), as well as "OVRL" for "Overload" on both channels in the dBFS Meter (bottom right of ARTA's main window) in the SPA mode. Since you're only in the tenths of a dB beyond the digital dynamic range (3:33 - RMS = +0,4 dBFS), the added harmonic distortion due to the clipped signal isn't that severe. Still, adjust your level slightly to fit within the digital dynamic range, and you will see the distortion of the driver itself is much lower. Reference: ARTA User Manual, pages 54 & 55, 81, 168.

Hi Joseph. Thanks for all the cool videos! I know this is a bit off topic but I was wondering if you could comment on the sound quality of the Nero 6 inch midrange that I noticed you have used. I'm thinking of using it in a speaker but am a little concerned with the resonances seen/blips in the impedance curve. I'm curious if it's a worthy successor to the old Audax PR170.

I’ll be doing some further critical listening on this driver in the coming weeks. The high grade crossover components arrived yesterday. Initial impressions are good. I used it much higher than I originally planned, 600Hz-4kHz. I’ll be publishing full test data once the project is finished in about a month.

I would like to measure SPL of my speakers. I do have a flat response microphone but it's pickup pattern is cardeoid and doesn't come with a calibration file. How can I calibrate this microphone? is it possible?
