Great video extremely helpful! The only correction I have is the windshield wipers in the 66 thunderbird are Hydraulically actuated off of the power steering pump. So if you have an issue there check either the pump or a cable adjustment can be made on the wiper motor itself. But as I said great video thank you for making it!

You're correct about the wipers. I hadn't noticed that. Glad the video is helpful.

i don’t know about 66 but on my 64 they’re is a dimmer switch and it’s the pull switch that turns the headlights on and turn it left or right to dim the instrument lights

In the Rambler it's like that. Pull the knob out to turn headlights on, and turn knob around to dim/brighten instrument panel lights.

Would you happen to know where the brown wire connected to the starter relay connects too?
@OldCrowsClassicCars3 жыл бұрын
There are 2 small terminals on the relay: the S and the I. The S goes to the ignition switch to turn on the relay. The I is essentially a useless terminal only used to bypass the ballast resistor for easier starting....if you have a coil with the external resistor. The I terminal is just another + output terminal
@Tachdout3 жыл бұрын
So the brown wire goes from the relay to the coil?
@OldCrowsClassicCars3 жыл бұрын
@@Tachdout I'd rather not go by color of wire because these are often different. First you need to determine if your ignition coil has an external resistor or not. If it doesn't ( which it probably doesnt) then you don't need the I terminal. If you do have an external resistor, then yes the I goes straight to the + of the coil. The idea is that the resistor is bypassed during cranking for stronger spark and therefore easier starting.

Thank you for your video. May I ask what you are using for the floor insulation?
@OldCrowsClassicCars4 жыл бұрын
It's automotive insulation. It's black foam like and has an outer layer of aluminum. Got it from eBay

Old Crow's Classic Cars Thank you! You wouldn’t happen to remember the name or company?

@@ford-fix ttwl6000 But id just do a search on eBay. The one I bought was 48sqft. I've also used carpet underlay/insulation and it works well too. Hope that helps.

Pod lights and dash lights not working any advice

I have the same issue. It's always a matter of following the wire until you find the fault. Harder on this car because the wires are well hidden behind the dash
