I have used 23 on small machines 1.2 by 1.2 on 1605 ball screw and have had no problems on the lowest hold setting

I need a motor to be able to rotate fairly accurately a swivel chair with a 200lbs person in it about it's axis. It needs to be able to do a 180° rotation within 3 seconds and this needs be repeatable ~twice per minute for eight hours! Would this motor be suitable for such a task?

Depending on the type of gearbox you might never be able to backdrive it.
