I am concerned by the "no preservatives" claim for the SheGlam stick. Makeup - especially liquid products - should have preservatives in it to keep it from going bad, getting moldy, etc. "Clean beauty" often goes too far eliminating things for a marketing tactic - the preservatives that are traditionally in makeup have been tested extensively, and are not harmful or we would have had major problems before this!

Yes yes yes. Im not a clean beauty freak, cruelty free/vegan only (im vegan). However i understand the absolute health nut clean freak people who are uneducated and just need to believe they are doing whats best tor their body, preservative free makeup essentially should be powder components that require activating with fluid immediately prior to application, no liquid cosmetics should be preservative free and i strongly fear for the kind of biohazards this can create. Exactly like you said, the preservatives we have are safe and used internationally even approved in some of the strictest drug and chemical schedules known to the beauty industry (switzerland, italy, usa) We would have had a push for clean beauty preservative free YEARS ago if it was bad for us
