in the quench bomb primer, they claim it’s great for the aloe vera but LESS THAN 1% of it is aloe vera on the ingredient list. and, you are also paying for 80% of it being water. what a waste of money. i think this collection was meant to be the high end better quality products of their range but their ingredients don’t match the price 🤷‍♀️

But you know high concentrations of aloe vera without any oil in the formula is actually dehydrating, right? Pure extract of aloe vera is a VERY strong humectant, you actually don't need much. And it's not like it's made of 2 ingredients:water and aloe vera. Primer is supposed to be mostly about consistency - this one is supposed to be smoothing, refreshing, slightly tacky and hydrating - and it is. That's not a skincare substitute.

In my opinion this is wayy overpriced for a drugstore brand newly entering the mid-range market in which it is not established yet. Also, they are doing a huge jump in price like 4 eyeshadows for £10 when normal revolution shadows can be like £4 for 15 shades. Additionally, If they already know better formulas then we know they’re making their nomal shadows at a lower quality on purpose.

Keep in mind that Revolution aims to be even lower-priced than drugstore, so the quality of the product is of course in proportion to what you’re paying. This XX department has more expensive packaging and the products are possibly higher quality, so they cost more to make and can’t be sold for the same amount of money. XX aims to compete with drugstore brands, like l’oreal, maybelline etc, so I think the pricing is fair.

I love revolution and was pretty excited to see what this new brand was going to be, but tbh... I'm kind of underwhelmed? I kinda don't love the concept of makeup+skincare. It just seems like a gimmick to charge more for products. Although I can't deny some of the products are beautiful!

Thank you for this. As someone who suffers from major anxiety I have made it my mission to force myself to watch horrific and sad videos to educate and acknowledge other people's suffering. With this has come nightmares, sweating and tearful mornings. I will not choose to ignore what is shown on the media because it makes me sad or uncomfortable. I can't imagine what people facing this daily and living in fear are feeling. At the end of the day my mental health is alot better knowing I participate and do my part in spreading messages and watching videos to know this is OUR reality. Saying that I am also so glad to just sit down, make a cup of tea and watch some KZbin. Thank you for all you are doing.

Love revolution, and I get that they have grown so much but I remember when their makeup was cheap but was still amazing. I miss it- I wanted them to stay cheap. It seems too expensive now ;(

The XX and Pro ranges are slightly more expensive however they still have cheaper options e.g. the £3 brozers and highlighters :) If you go to the website and press low to high they have some really good cheap stuff! hope this helps :)

My husband was diagnosed with skin cancer on his lip. After major plastic surgery and treatments, he is cancer free. The surgeon was amazing, as I never expected my husband to look the same.... but he does! Obvously, are huge proponents of wearing an SPF lip balm. Hyram says that he applies sunscreen to his lips then puts a balm over it. The most important thing to to reapply SPF to the lips often if you are in the sun for long peroids of time. (Especially after eating or swimming!)
