The newer ones have sharp suction but it’s not prolonged the bag gets half full the suction drops drastically compared to the previous motors

Funnily enough earlier today I was only thinking of a comparison of 1200 v 620 in dirt pickup form but this answers the question. Only slightly less powerful and saves energy but the one thing I don’t like is the shorter hoses, in recent years they’ve been around 2.2m, I’ve unboxed three 2024 machines and they were all 2m or just under.

There are loads of of different sizes now. I think the old one is a HVR-200.

I think it’s because the newer motor has less waterlift, it struggles so maintain airflow as the bag fills compared to the more powerful motor which can produce higher waterlift so it doesn’t really lose much airflow
