I'm American but I love the sweetest style in electric locomotives

You prefer the rubber tyres? Here in the UK we try and avoid them because they make the track dirty. Do you not experience the same issues? Also, will you be putting overhead wires in place for the electric locos?
@marklinofsweden8 жыл бұрын
+Lennon6412 Hi! No, I don´t really have seen that the rubber tires makes the tracks dirty. Over-oiling the locomotives and cars doo for sure. I run cleaning cars in some of my sets on regular basis, so problem solved. I see more of a problem with oxidation, since I have my layout in the garage/basement. Yepp! Overhead wires are already in place on most parts. This video is 6 months old already.. :)

Just curious, have you got any comment from the loco manufacturer? I agree its a great looking loco but not exactly easy compatible. I would prob have returned it but I admire your adaption skills. And thanks for a great video!!

Marlin can you explain the purpose of sliders please in US we don't have it I think...
@marklinofsweden7 жыл бұрын
Ohh.. The slider picks up current fron the center rail (studs).. The 3-rail system simplyfies the electrics significantly. That is the major advantage and why many Europeans choose it.

Hello Martin! Great video, interesting with the sliders, this is also a problem on certain NMJ (EL 13) locos. i don't know why this happens, is this a sign of poor quality control? Anyhow its always a way to fix it, but i should not be like this, we pay for it to work out of the box.
@marklinofsweden9 жыл бұрын
+Subs0nic I suspect manufactures like NMJ, Heljan, Jeco and Roco really mostly just supply loco with sliders just to be able to offer their Product to all the Märklin users, without really caring too much of how the locos actually work on Märklin tracks.
@Subs0nic9 жыл бұрын
+marklinofsweden Roco Actually cares about this, i never ever had a new Roco AC model fail on me or in any turnouts or double slip switches. They run smooth and nice. but for the others i agree.

Subs0nic Really good to hear that Roco locos works fine on Märklin tracks! I´ll try to pick one up and make a reveiw.

En liten fråga vad för typ av hönsnät använder du när du gör landskap ?
@marklinofsweden7 жыл бұрын
+Tulle1234 Det är ett insektsnät för takfot i aluminium. Finns på byggvaruhus
@hannub8 жыл бұрын
Interesting type of engine, but it seems to have quality issues. This is one reason why I only have Märklin and HAG Locos except an old ET420 from Roco.
@marklinofsweden9 жыл бұрын
I today had the opportuity to also try this modified loco on a K-rail layout. It works fine, except in the crossings.. So I wouldn´t recommend you buying this loco if your are using crossings on your layout.
