Doing a review on a Salsa Beargrease C Deore 11 with studded tires. I ride a variety of urban roads and trails. I also found a few sections of sweet singletrack along the creek!

Great stuff Shad! I bought my first Fat Bike this winter. I went with the Norco Bigfoot. I was in the $2k budget range and found the Norco to be a great value. Some of the deciding factors for me were Shimano Drivetrain, Dropper, and 27.5. I did put Studded tires on right away. I like to ride the city trails with some off trails like you show in this video, and the studs have saved my melon more than once. 🤣

Please do a Mukluk test run with the 27.5” tires! Love my Mukluk but wondering if upgrading wheels/tires would be worth it!

That's the plan. I have the 27.5 wheels with 4.0 tires on it right now. I just am waiting for my back to give me permission to go out and ride.

Another great video. I think the Sun rims are pronounced like “mule foot”. I just got my first fat bike (Surly Wednesday) and will definitely need to make the trek from Chicago to MN for some riding.

Minnehaha Creek? Edit: yep, confirmed later in the videos. If I were going to get a new fat bike I think it would be the Fezzari Kings Peak.

i saw this for sale $2k....do you think 27" diameter 4" vs 4.5" tires make a difference?
@ShadLife Жыл бұрын
The 4" tires are faster rolling than the 4.5". If you want more deeper or softer snow capability than the 4.5" are better for that.

Hi will there be room for a 27.5x4.3-4.5 tire ?? Big thanks….
@ShadLife10 ай бұрын
27.5 x 4.0 is the highest you can get up to. That is with an 82mm width rim. If you want more tire width you need to go with a 26". It will fit up to 26 x 4.6 with a 100mm width rim.

Did you ride the Trek Farley 9.6? Do you like it?
@ShadLife Жыл бұрын
I have not ridden any Trek Farley's. I would like to try one.
