Keep the purple mate! I told you about these friend. Grab the upper motor mount as well.. maybe even gearbox mounts.. I have all three powerflex in my manual Elantra N and it’s perfect …. Also the 2024 Elantra N gets firmer engine mounts from factory!

Awesome video! I wish I would’ve known about the power flex option back when I first got my Kona N. All I knew of was a stiffer mount from sxth element. I love how well I can hook with the stiffer mount, but the vibrations at idle with the ac is very annoying. My passengers notice it too

I just installed the "Street" (yellow) one in my Honda Fit manual. Almost no increase in NVH, but way better for rowing through gears. I wish I knew about it years ago! So cheap, so easy to install, yet a big improvement.

Definitely brother those bushings help a lot especially with Elantra N’s and that crazy wheel hop lol
@LeftenantMalachi Жыл бұрын
Glad you're happy. I have the SXTH first and it worked GREAT, but the vibrations rattled the fillings out of my teeth. As a daily, I removed it and added what you got from Powerflex, plus the transmission bushing, and front engine mount bushings. Hardly anymore NVH, and launches are very good with minimal wheel hop. You live you learn.
@PolishBullitt Жыл бұрын
That’s what’s up brother you live you learn, I wish there was a video like that back when I was buying mine haha, but I don’t regret my boomba I like how it let you feel the car especially while autocrossing or launching it, but daily drivability suffers for sure

If you consider doing the other 2 powerflex bushings. Just go all the way to the black racing one. The yellow upper mount one doesn't hold up very well, black works better. And the tranny bushing doesn't add any NVH. I am runing both of them black and the lower one purple, only experience a hint of vibration while idling, not really noticeable.

Add the black engine mount and transmission mount and also the upper bushing on the torque arm (the one that connects to the engine, opposite of the purple moint). I have all of these and after 500 miles its so so good! Its literally the best combo.

Purple powerflex bushings have to break in I would say a bout 1,000 miles or a bit more than you won’t feel as much vibrations. That’s one of the reasons I went with purple instead of the black bushings. btw I think the purple ones are pretty good!! 👍🏻 Think I’ll stick with them unless I start making 500hp?

@@PolishBullitt The yellow street ones have the issue. Too soft and they tend to split/tear with some use. Purple is definitely the way to go as it's a good compromise for a dual purpose street/track set up. Good wheel hope mitigation and reasonable NVH. Black are the hardest compound and not well suited for the street as they produce the most additional NVH of the 3 compounds. However The black upper motor mount and trans mounts add very little additional NVH strangely enough. I find that the purple lower, black top and trans to be the best combination. In addition if and when you get tuned have your tuner bump the idle up 200 RPM for even better NVH control.
