Testing out Pioneer DJ DDJ-WeGO4 with WeDJ app

After fifteen years of guitar/bass playing I wanted a simple solution to controlling background music during the band's breaks and such. I found this controller interesting but nothing more - until I saw your video six years ago. That was a beginning of a journey. Two years later I bought my first serious setup, played my first gig only DJ-ing, another two years later I became resident in a club for the first time and nowadays I'm quite the only one in my area who plays troubadour-style live music and then turns the party on in one night, so I'm playing at least four gigs in a week. You opened a door to a different way of thinking about music and being a better and more universal performer, turned me listening new genres and making stuff I never thought I would do. What program are you using on your phone? Nd is that an android u have your doing this on or iPhone? Because I wasn’t to do this, this is exactly what I’m trying to do but I have the wego “1” the regular one, also I’m having a hard time getting my laptop to read the device (controller) like I downloaded serato dj lite, it not picking up and I have Traktor on the iPad and it works with my Z1 from native Instruments… maybe because I’m using my mom laptop it’s like basic it’s like a regular laptop I’m afraid it doesn’t have enough chip because it’s windows 8.1 I heard rekordbox goes windows or max I just have to click the windows one but for some reason it’s not so easy for me. I tried virtual DJ & maybe my laptop at home will work better I’ll be home in two days although it’s windows11 that might be overkill it’s a gaming laptop 💻 any advise pls? I didn’t get the cD 💿 when I received my wego as a gift I just wanna play

Well I guess you can use it on a club, but I'm not sure if I would recommend that, its still a good beginners unit so but it's more likely that it would brake faster in a club environment

Emily Andrella Kwanita I've had many controllers on and off including higher end ones and i owned an rb for a short while. I would chose this over the rb The rb has to be used with rekord box on a laptop or pc It feels very cheap. The wego 4 can be used with rekord box and now ios or android using just a smartphone or tablet using an app called wedj It displays the waveform on your device Along with touch screen integration. The wedj app works like a charm. How cool is that, no laptop or pc, just your phone or tablet!! That along with its cool looks and lights make it a better choice than the rb. You even get a rekord box licence and virtual dj license thrown in with the wego 4. A good thing to do is download the wedj app on your phone and have a play around with it and just imagine controlling it with the wego.

I'll just add the only downfall is no mid and gain knobs, just low and high, you can apparently map the filter knob tho to change to either. The end of the day you have channel faders and a cross fader tho so gains not a problem for me anyway.
