Congrats on getting a new shifter! I had the same problem you did when I first got a TH8A; constantly going to the wrong gate when shifting upwards, until I developed the muscle memory. But at the same time it breaths new life into ATS for awhile as it breaks up the monotony of driving here and there... at least for a little while heh.

for your monitor mount you could try to reinforce the area where the clamp attaches to your desk. If theres enough room to spare you could place a piece of wood between the desk and the clamp to help spread out the pressure from the weight of the monitors. this would solve the problem of the mount clamp biting into the desk, you would just want a piece of wood like particle board about 2 times the size of the clamp point.

I've also been thinking about the TH8A! I've heard many good things about it, but it's of little use to me since I drive Real Automatic in ETS2, and exclusively automatic buses in OMSI 2. Still, glad to hear you like it! Speaking of Thrustmaster, I still haven't gotten the chance to use the T300 I received. It came delivered with the wrong power cable (since replaced) and I'm getting a new laptop in the meantime (that can probably actually run ETS2 without cooking itself), so I'm still here driving with mouse steering like a filthy pleb. One day, one day...

Hi Clumsy. I don’t know if you have a SKRS range/splitter gear knob or if you plan to use buttons to change from low to high range, and to select the split gears. Either way there’s a great article on Steam “Guide to Manual Transmissions in ATS and ETS2” that gives the realistic shift patterns for the different 10, 12, and 16 gears used on European and US trucks. Much more immersive to use the correct shift pattern.

Any suggestions on how to set up my stream deck xl? Got it for xmas and I want use it for scs and Fs2020 but am unfamiliar with the setup. A lot of videos are just to complicated and are not directly setup up for Scs or Msfs2020. Any config files for buttons? Great videos as usual. Nice shifter too.

Congrats! For msfs there is a streamdeck plugin. I think it's in my mods list. For truck sim unfortunately you'll have to settle for keyboard presses to initiate commands (e.g. mapping space bar to your stream deck for parking brake). Enjoy!

Always awesome watching how you play this game Clumsy, just a couple questions. I understand that you use TrackIR to move around, but do you bind Zoom In to a button on your wheel? If so, how do you do that? Awesome video and series mate.

Thanks! Ah yes, zoom is through the key bindings in-game. Look for Interior Zoom and bind it to a free button/key. Enjoy!
