I put the 1600 on my pc downstairs with a 1050 ti and it increased the performance by like 3x like holy 😮 (from an a8 9600)

i got a 1600af for $100 back in 2020 and im still using it. it does 3.85mhz at 1.15v and 3.9 at 1.2v

Honestly, for 15£ (euros or whatever), the ryzen 5 1600 aint bad, considering u probs have to pay like at least 3-4x on the used market to get like a 12400f. Props to AMD making nice cpus and props to the second hand market for having their prioreties (almost) straight. And ofc great video, already want to watch the next one!

Also it easily overclocks to an all core 3.95 - 4Ghz if you have a B350 or better mobo.. what else could you want at that price? It has decent IPC (about equivalent of Intel Kabylake and it has 12 threads. A Kabylake i7 7700 used is still way more than a used r5 1600 and it has less 2 less cores and 4 less threads

Nice, video finally dropped. Btw I think you put on too much of an overclock so stability is compromised, hence the lower scores on TimeSpy. It happens when you OC Zen/Zen +, they're generally not very good OC CPUs. With Zen 2 I think you can get away with 400-500 Mhz OC but not Zen/Zen+ (most of the time). Not all games care though, and some definitely benefited from the OC. I find for most chips, 3.7GHz @1.38 V is stable. Only degraded or bottom barrel bin chips don't like this OC. (sampe size of around 40) Can get to 4GHz with 1.4 V ish but need a good motherboard. (edit) spelling lmao

Actually 3.8 on 1.35V was very stable for me, so maybe I got lucky with my chip 🤠

If it doesn't max out the 5600 XT at 1440p it won't max it out at 1080p either. It will get the same FPS, with even lower GPU usage.

I have a ryzen 5 1600 on CS2 the deathmatch game mode runs like crap i play 5v5 and play with 150fps average like the benchmark map im going to upgrade to a 5600 when i can

am4 is the new 775: cheap, very upgradable (from bulldozer scams to ryzen 5950x3d), plenty used parts available, plenty of cores, tons of cache, good power efficiency and can be overclocked (unlike 775) still not as poggers as 775 because am4 is ddr4 only while 775 ranges from ddr400 to ddr3 but still pretty close.
