Even though there is vibration on the Fanatec V3's, obviously inferior to SImucube's latest creation, I run the V3's on a Prosimu motion platform and when stationary you can feel the vibrations but once in game and driving, the motion kind of mute's the vibration so you don't really feel it, this Simucube variant will no doubt be helpful on motion platforms as it's obviously more designed to throw out stronger sensation.

The v3s have vibration the simucube pedals have haptic feedback way more advanced, but the main thing is they have force feedback its all useless without ffb. The simucube pedals can take data from the game to provide accurate abs feedback for every car u drive in all conditions, wet, dry, the v3s u have to manually set the abs where u want it.

I agree, the price is crazy steap but although it seems like the pedals should be cheaper they are actually a lot more complex product than the wheelbase. A lot more moving parts. Other companies will have a response to these.. in time. We gonna have to wait it out. I'm still happy with my V3's anyways. The pricing is ridiculous, you can buy a top of the line motion system instead, F those guys.
@Leynad7782 жыл бұрын
That's not the next thing, because it doesn't work like in a car at all while the other paddles kind of doing it similar and certainly never for this price anyway. You get a great motion-setup for three of those pedals that deliver all effects you need without messing with your inputs if setup properly. I'm using shakers for tactile feedback since 2016, first with SimVibe, now SimHub and my first shakers were costing me 30 € each plus amp. Now I'm running a SimXperience GS-5 with G-Belt and 7 shakers delivering full body 6 DOF feedback for the price of 3 of those. And with pedals you just want consistency and control over them, not the over way around.
@erwinvandikkelen37902 жыл бұрын
How wouldn't you keep control and consistency over these? They just provide feedback from the game itself, kinda like current DD wheels. It's actually something i miss when braking now, that thin line between locking up or not, now you have to visualize it and get the wheel feedback from sliding and act towards that, losing valuable response time. If you could feel it in the pedal itself, your reaction time would be much faster i recon. These new pedals will probably just be the start of it, with more companys getting into this, prices will hopefully drop a bit, for now they can ask whatever they want ... especially with their wheelbase reputation. If they would drop the price towards 50%, they wouldn't be able to keep up with production probably 🙂
@Leynad7782 жыл бұрын
@@erwinvandikkelen3790 Servo-motors can only rotate a shaft, not push/pull it. Actuators gearing this rotation into a push/pull shaft like a driller and because of that transmission, the fastest ones I know can do 300 mm/s, which is about 1 km/h. I can certainly hit my clutch faster than 300 mm/s and I feel enough details from my two buttkickers near the pedals even through shoes. So I don't see any significant advantage with these pedals other than not having to switch rubbers or springs to get a different feel, but probably for the price of being less responsive. There is a reason they have not setup any clutch-pedal on their Expo-stand and I guess because the clutch-funcion kind of sucks.

@@erwinvandikkelen3790 a race car pedal doesn’t vibrate right before lock up. This is just an expensive gimmick
@Leynad7782 жыл бұрын
The chassis vibrates when the tyres are scrubbing and decent shakers like Buttkickers with SimHub are doing a proper job simulating this sensation more or less, but certainly with a similar principle. Actuators on the other hand are by design not recommended for the job especially if they have to do other duties like moving a rig or a seat, and probably also if using them as pedals. The only way those Simucube pedals can be 'beneficial' is by using them as a cheat by lowering brake-input on wheel-lockup for example, so basically acting as an artificial assists, a function sim-racers usually despise in games. I also find it suspicious that Simucube showed a cross-section in their CAD-design to reveal how it works, almost like they want their competition to copy it. I can just guess, but I wouldn't approve this concept because it looks like BS to me. There is a rail-system inside hat probably needs more attention over time than a ball-bearing in a normal pedal and it isn't sealed either. It probably works decent as a brake and the price is so high, probably >90% of people are only buying one as a brake. For this purpose it seems fine, but not for throttle and clutch.

Try Dualsens ps5 and you will understand how he feels with his feet. The principle is identical to that of Dualsens ps5. If the wheels should be blocked. The triggers will not allow you to squeeze the trigger to the end. And exactly as much as necessary so as not to block the wheels. In my opinion, I use a much better and more accurate brake without ABS-TC without active triggers. I think the user of these pedals feels the same way. The instinct of the skill tells you that the brake can be pressed much more strongly. But the pedal won't let you do that. Because of what there is a disagreement between your intellect and what your legs do. And software active triggers or pedals. Because the program thinks that you brake too late and too early. Because of what it will be resisted in every possible way to press the pedal to the maximum. It may be suitable for beginners, but definitely not for experienced Load Cell players.
@nejcmirtic5292 жыл бұрын
The ABS activation comes from the in-game telemetry, so ONLY when the ABS actually kicks in on the car, the pedal starts to output ABS FFB. That is not the same predetermined threshold as the Fanatec V3 pedals BLI setting, which vibrates every time you hit a certain pressure threshold (there is an option to use the in-game telemetry too, and it will start to rumble when you trigger the ABS). So I don't understand what you are trying to implicate with your post, because if it starts to vibrate you already activated the ABS, and you are NOT driving on the edge of the limit, but OVER the limit.
@irlantiisti28102 жыл бұрын
@@nejcmirtic529 The Dulshok PS5 has active triggers, there is no vibration or vibration motor. I will say more Simcube used this SONY technology in the development of these pedals. To understand what Sony active triggers are, you just need to try it. It is strange that in every possible way you are trying to pretend that you do not understand what it is about. Everyone can check how it works on Dualsens ps5 +PS5 +acc adjust FFB force, trigger resistance and torque. Doesn't look like anything 🤔 Simcube pedals 😉

@UC9M2PuBwcvt-T5j--9-4j0Q Forget about the price, it isn't relevant to the debate. So I guess you have never driven a real car. When you overheat the brakes, the pedal becomes softer/squishier, when you hit the ABS treshold, the pedal changes the feel completely, when in a servo assisted brake system the vacuum level changes, the pedal stiffness and level changes. Then if you ever looked at a race car pedal footcam in some of the clips you can even see how they have to pre-pump the pedal due to the pad knock back. And the pedal is meant to be able to simulate all that. But hey have it your way. I know I won't be chainging the pedals due to the cost and size, but it is a really good design concept.
