I like to take macro/close shoots with minidv cameras, the image quality is very good, advantages filming with small sensors.

Yeah, the only way to blur the background is either to shoot very close, or to zoom in. I wanted to simulate Super 8 footage with a CCD-based camcorder.

@@ConsumerDVI'v never shoot with a Super 8 camera, I have some in my collection but the amount of money in film and develop is so high and I prefer to avoid. The 4:3 ratio is what I like in old cameras, I'm not fan of movies, I like documentaries. In my childhood I watched a lot of Jacques Cousteau, for me he was a real filmmaker. I dislike spend my time watching unreal things like movies, for example I prefer watch your footages about places that you visited and where you live than what a movie about super heroes.

I haven't shot with a Super 8 camera myself. I have one, but I use it as a prop. I figured that I don't want to mess with film. Regarding travels and Jacques Cousteau, this is an edit that I made from two 20-minute tapes. The source footage is not mine, I just edited it. The guys sail somewhere near Australia and they come across Jacques Cousteau's ship. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oIfCq4egmJp-r68 I purchased a bunch of used videotapes, and sometimes they have interesting footage that I can use.
