Black Diamond discontinued manufacturing & selling this tent a couple of years ago. I, too, have one of these tents. I just thought of something. Candles, I wonder what the temperature differential might be if a person lit 2 candles & left them burning all night.

I'm going to have to use a pick-axe to remove it from the ice/snow/ice, hehe

Get your some polypropylene base layers and he will be good to go. Also if it snows heavy you have guyout points on that tent to give it a more sturdy structure. Nice tent

Yes sir, I'm grooming him. Haven't used the guys yet, it's comforting to know they're there, just in case.

Did you ever have to reseal the seams on the fly or tent & if so, what did you use?

Do you know where the guy line goes that comes with this tent?

I own this tent & it's done it's job, for me, on 6 camping trips. The ONLY complaint I have is the BLACK DIAMOND emblazoned on the front & back. Without the tarp, that's like putting a big bullseye on it for the criminal element. Fortunately, the rain fly hides the name. This tent is a very well designed piece of equipment; however, it's IMPERATIVE a person periodically practice setting it up & taking it down. Otherwise, on a cold, windy night, you may have extreme difficulty getting the tent set up properly.. It goes up ONE WAY - know that ONE WAY so you can set it up blindfolded, under adverse weather conditions. The last thing you want is a bent pole or a broken stretch cord, neither of which is something most people are prepared to fix when out camping. I'd almost be willing to bet a shiny dime, you struggled a bit getting it set up due to a lack of practice/know-how.

Bill Cole haha, yeah, I set it up in the basement first, just to get the hang of it. Love it. The wind can be howling but when you get inside you hardly hear it. Damn thing's like a cave.

Rich Allfieldnohit Rich, you should have video taped the frustrations we all experience when we FIRST try to set up the tent. I expect you used some of the same heart felt french expression I used; probably made some of the same mistakes.......your video could have really been instructive of HOW NOT TO go about setting up, the humor value alone could have catapulted this video into one of the all time funniest. Moral of this story in to try to emphasize the importance of PRACTICING the set up. Can you imagine trying to set this up with cold hand, shivering, & trying to follow the small print on the written instructions?

It's an awesome tent no doubt but down here in Georgia I don't think I need anything like that. Maybe a good outdoor tarp and some sleeping bags.... Great vid....
