I have had this cot for a number of years and am quite happy with it. It is a little cumbersome to set up until you get the hang of it but once you do its a great thing to have for a superior night's sleep. One of the things I like the most is the 30- inch width which means that your arms are not hanging off like they do in a narrower cot. I use mine in a two man tent and I recommend placing a tarp under the cot feet so the pressure on a lightweight camping tent floor will not be as severe.

Looks good enough to keep you off the wet cold floor nice video Ben

I think I'll cut a small pool noodle and attach to the base areas to protect my tent floor... Sound good?

If I had more clearance I’d get the Coleman one.

I was wondering if the cheap cots were any good. Thank you for testing it out and sharing your opinion. God bless and stay safe

Not much can break on this one. The others in the price point had plastic legs.

At 30 inches this cot is wider than most yet it takes up very little space for storage.

I wonder if you could put a thin metal sleeve on the ends of the legs to make them fit better. I think that movement is going to wear on the whole and get a lot worse over time.
@livingsurvival2 жыл бұрын
It would eventually have movement no matter what you tried. For $50 I didn’t expect much.

Tie some cordage to each of the end legs where the V-notch is and cinch until both cant towards the centre, do not tighten excessively. I think this will cure the rocking motion.

Most Alps M gear is bombproof, not used this one but my other gear has been excellent. Their $300.00 cot is awfully high though.

You should add weights on it and leave it for a week or couple of weeks to see if there is any ripping or tearing. I’ve bought many things from Amazon and they look nice but after a week or two of heavy use they start to break badly.
@livingsurvival2 жыл бұрын
It’s been setup pretty much since I got it. Sitting on it and a few nights of weight on it. It’s been thrown around my garage for weeks and so far so good. I didn’t expect much for $50 but so far it’s doing the job.

Yeah definitely nowhere near the quality of Helinox

I had this cot for almost 6 years. Heavy use and it is still strong as the first day.

Check out Amazon warehouse deals. I found two $100 cots at 70% discount. They've held up for years.
