Just purchased this, and used for first time. I switched the string head with a Pivotrim head. Pulled the handle three times on choke, turned to run, first pull, started. I have several long fence runs to trim, and this went through better than the several others I've burnt out over the years. The big test, for me, will be next year, after it has sat through the winter in my garage.

I just tested the $287 Husqvarna 130L and this Walmart trimmer was just as good honestly better. But the $229 Echo SRM225 is the best home owner grade trimmer I have tested so far.

Definitely considering this gas weed eater next spring, I’m thinking I’ll get the curved shaft, but keeping an open mind for the straight shaft model cause trimming takes a 30 or so minutes both front and back to trim and edge my lawn. Thanks for the suggestion too. I’ve reviewed your video a few times

If you’re going to wait that long to possibly purchase one go to the Walmart stores in the fall you might catch them on clearance. I came across a big sale at one of our local ones and picked up 2 of the straight shaft ones for 30 some dollars each. Going on 3 years and still running. They used a bunch. I would go with the straight shaft.

There is fuel mixture screw you can adjust and it will wake up that trimmer quite a bit.

This things appearance reminds me so much of echo. Seems to run pretty good. I think using a quality fuel will go a long way for the longevity of the trimmer.

How about I got one last week? Because of my echo clutch spring broke I had some properties to finish, and it took me longer to finish with the weedeater because of the lack of power that it had and on another note where the spark plug is it, my arm kept getting burnt, and I had to cut the string down to a smaller size so I can get more power and it kept cutting off, will I buy it again? Hell, no I was better off getting some weed killer. Paris Lawn Care from North Carolina.

Yeah it’s junk but it’s better than the $287 Husqvarna 130L I just tested. Echo SRM 225 is the best homeowner trimmer I’ve tested but of course none of this stuff comes close to the commercial grade ones.

I purchased one also i kept my box because i was not confident in what i purchased. Got it put together and for some reason the gas is not flowing to the motor properly. I press the bubble too prime it and it runs for 15 secs and dies out smh

bought one 3 weeks ago-burning smell like a clutch on initial start-it ran for maybe 4-5 hours.....upon starting it now bogs down with lever fully depressed-and has no adjustment screws-will return to walmart-thankfully it has 2 yr warranty

I have a bolens BL160 Straight shaft. I've had it for 5 years. It's running strong and it's only a 100 bucks, but they don't make it anymore. I'm pretty sure.😂

You will like that echo cross fire string until you buy the echo black diamond string. Its some great string and will take down anything you need too

I had a craftsman that was similar to this. Is wasnt bad but the carb got clogged with even the most minuscule amount of debris getting in the gas tank after the third or fourth time in a year unclogging it I got rid of it
