For the last 18 months I've not let the lawn crew edge or use a weed eater in my back yard. kzbin.infoUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG I didn't like the fact that they just kept cutting the edge of the lawn further and further from the rock lining the flower beds and leaving bare ground. And the grass was trimmed or scalped several feet around trees, etc. It was a constant battle with them so I told them to just mow and no trimming. I have Zoysia grass so it grows pretty slow. Obviously after a while it could use some trimming. I'm in my 80's so I can't do much of it myself.Finally I decided that if I could find a lightweight battery powered trimmer I might be able to do some light trimming. I decided to buy the LST201 20V trimmer. And it works great for my needs. I have back yard with about 150' of flower beds and several trees to be trimmed. I can lightly trim the whole yard with a single charge! The grass I trimmed was only a few inches high but the trimmer was more powerful than I expected.

i got a 2014 craftsman 25cc bent shaft that looks just like that one only differences is mine has the speed start system its still a murrey all in but name there all mtd brands keep a eye on the air plug on the pistons the rocker arm pins come off and melts the piston air plug on the back of the machine

funny thing, the murray and the Hyper tough are literally the same trimmer, with a slightly altered case. Both are manufactured in Mexico by MTD (Modern Tool & Die). MTD also Makes Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, MTD Pro, Craftsman, and others.

I have the same one and I noticed that the guard sucks, but you could just buy a better guard. It's also a gas guzzler and *LOUD* . My neighbor thought I was running a chainsaw. But overall a Good weed eater. And you don't have to pull the throttle and pull the cored

that String Trimmer along with Murray ones are really made by MTD, which sells them under different brand names : Craftsman, Bolens, Remington, Roybi. Also MTD makes troy-bilt, yard-machine, yard-man, and most "store brands" I pesonally have the M2510 (murray)

I have had no issues with mine I have the straight shaft eats through everything I put it through I'm on one Acre of land and a lot is fenced in I clear the fence Area and ditches Hyper tough is made by MTD and I don't believe not even half of the complaints most of these people never owned or even used one to many complaints that don't Add up to the reality of this Weed trimmer the Hyper tough is a excellent machine

mtd makes nearly all of the 2 cycle products out there , only good brands are Stihl Expensive hard to get parts unless you have a stihl dealer nearby or a dolmar/Makita we sell them and ive never had one back for repair

I've never owned/used a trimmer before so I'm the person that needed the demo. My mother and her boyfriend complain that trimmers always break and if I buy one it'll just stop working (they have a bunch just sitting around, not working). Is this likely because of the fuel? ssjkaycee a majority of trimmers that break down have to do with the fuel cause the Ethanol from the gas clogs the carburetor and fuel lines along with the fuel filter... The premixed fuel keeps cleaning your fuel system as you use it

If you're having problems getting the bolt out because the black plastic knob is broke off you can probably take out the bolt with a 1/2 inch wrench.

you have to have the right ratio mix of gas and oil first buy 2 stroke oil unless your weed eater is 4 stroke then buy 4 stroke but on the back it says your raitio of your mixing between gas and oil

This string trimmer is good for a home owner not suitable for a lot of work . if you work this thing for over an hour it will stop working.
