I like these style sheaths because they take an ulti clip for front horizontal and that for me , comes in handy more often in summer and when I m not wearing a belt . I like a nice folder but have always liked to use the fixed blades quite a bit in the woods . Them cold steel ad 10 s and ad15 have done pretty well though

DC-53 Info: DC-53 is a general purpose, cold work die and mold steel that also provides excellent strength and toughness that approaches those of high-speed steels. DC53, is an improvement over alloy tool steel D-2. It eliminates the disadvantages of insufficient hardness and toughness that are a result of high-temperature tempering found with D-2. DC-53 is typically chosen as a replacement for D-2 in use for general purpose and precision dies. DC-53 is noted for causing less tool wear and machining times that are faster than D2 Tool Steel.

I am very impressed with this knife. Heavy duty. Great test and review. I watched another channel's review on this knife by Peterbilt....... something or other channel and he emphasized the size of the grip and how many fingers you could comfortably grasp the handle with depending on the size of your hand. I thought that was very helpful. I did hear you mention about the handle size.

DC53 C: 1.00; V: 0.30; Cr: 8.00; Mo: 2.00; Mn: 0.40; P: ?; S: ?; Si: 1.00; Maker: Daido - Japan (JP) Notes: Quite tough steel, with as per manufacturer, almost twice the toughness, better wear resistance, and smaller carbide size compared to D2 steel, capable of 62-64HRC working hardness. Very similar with Bohler-Uddeholm Sleipner steel, with slightly more Carbon, and less Mo and V. F

Hey mate, I’m very curious about your recommendation! In your opinion, what is the best knife that you can get, with this criteria? 7-10 inch blade, possibly up to 12 inches, at 15-16 inches overall. Work Tuff Gear Puzon Bowie 7” or 9”! Best modern day Bowie’s on the market that I can visualize doing quite a bit of tasks. Be it Bushcraft, survival, hiking, self defense, hunting, fishing, combat, utility, and industrial areas of use. There are plenty of WTG Puzon Videos out there, not just mine. Check them out.
