Testing the Emergency Showers/Eyewash Stations at my school!

My school has the exact emergency eyewash and shower stations but some kid took it open himself to test the shower while class was in session lol

I live in the UK, and i don’t believe we have emergency showers here, we do have emergency eye wash stations though, although i am pretty certain our ones are a bit different (the school i went to up until 2016 definitely had emergency eye wash stations)

Very cool eyewash system! You should do a test and compare first alert vs kidde for a future video. First alert has improved a bit and the gauges are no longer upside down. They’re also made of Steel now instead of aluminum.

They are still actually garbage. I got my hands on a 2022 model and it sucks. Bottom handle was thin, still has a plastic siphon tube inside and the extinguisher isn’t even actually technically rechargeable. Buy a kidde over a first alert

They are for chemical emergencies. These are installed in the science classes at my school, in case you spill a chemical on yourself you can use the eyewash or shower to get the chemical off of you

It’s pretty simple. Stagnant water that doesn’t move gets dirty

There was a sub teacher from Quebec, CA at my old high school that once pulled the lever for one of the emergency showers, and from what I can recall, my chem teacher said it triggered some alarm somewhere causing either a custodian or school official to come and investigate.
