Really informative, thanks! I always feel it's worth mentioning in videos the really low bitrate of the HDZero DVR, the time-worn phrase of "it looks better in the goggles" applies very strongly to HDZero. The best representation of the video is to use a video capture passthrough setup, which is obviously quite hard to do in the field.
@MrShutterBug2 жыл бұрын
The DVR bitrate actually isn’t too bad. It is mainly the KZbin compression that kills it, but it does look better if you set KZbin to 4K mode. Still, you’re totally right. The goggles do look better.

Was flying my plane on hdzero the other day watching the Vario and artificial horizon move around in HD on a tiny elrs Rx. 5-6 years ago we had a massive camera, giant vtx with a button, a separate osd with like 3 elements and an even bigger Rx. technology is cool but the people that push it are cooler.

Firstly, the video looks amazing. The weird failsafe, again you're bang on the diagnosis. It rebooted somehow. Hdzero has a great FPV system.
@MrShutterBug2 жыл бұрын
Use 4K (2160p60) mode for the best bitrate. Otherwise, KZbin compression will really destroy the DVR footage. I'm told the receivers should ship to retailers any day now (if they haven't already). Hopefully that means we'll start seeing retailer stock soon! If you don't want to risk missing the first batch, you can preorder now: bit.ly/3Kv6T6N These are the antennas I'm using (relatively cheap): - TrueRC Long SMA RHCP: bit.ly/3vQX7I7 - AXII Stubby (XILO branding): bit.ly/3yoldvk - AXII Stubby (ALTERNATE in case the XILO version sells out): bit.ly/3FqyHYR

Could it be that classical loose xt60 connector? Sometimes these tiny pins need to be pushed apart if the battery plug doesn't fit tight and secure. Always causes reboot in midflight on certain high g moves.

Can I offer a suggestion to try. I know it works for me but that constant snow I figured out alot comes from running 2 of the same antennas up top they are still close enough to mess with reception.i by chance used 2 of the same omni antennas but of different lengths . And let me tell you I had so much better range and that snow went away or is less pronounced and it shows in the dvr. That looks clean too. Thought maybe it was just a good set or match and tried the same with pagoda and yeah better. But that time the beam changed on me from what I was used to for nulls. And tried changing just 1 antenna to a diff type and same result. But changed the latter back to same length and back to snow. Maybe it's a fluke but I figured your the guy to tell and maybe if it's a real thing then you got some new content . If not I'm just a jack ass again and nothings different lol.

The issue Ryan reported had to do with video reception at very close range, like when coming in to land right next to you. That did in fact delay the launch. That’s why it is great that Carl takes the time to get feedback and then takes the time to make it right. The delayed launch timeframe is what I quoted in this video. It would have shipped out sooner otherwise. Interestingly, I did not observe the same problem on mine, but I wasn’t testing for that specifically.

Unfortunately that is what happens when the officials of the United States over the past 50 years have turned the country into a pure import nation rather than manufacturing things ourselves. The only alternative is what alternative is available. Unfortunately the last year America has exceeded it's larges trade deficit in US history! The only way Americans buy is by ordering from overseas which means at any time we could be cut off or suddenly have to pay more for products that contain older chips that requires more power. The whole concept of manufacturing things overseas in order to get things made at lower prices has now made the America people consumer hostages.
