The funny thing is that the parent company is the same for these 2 brands and ryobi. All made in the same factory somewhere in Asia. I will say the high torque ridgid model 86211B (no longer made) and the stealth impact driver (I believe not offered anymore) are high quality, high performance tools that will give any brand a run for its money.

The only complaint for the milwaukee is how heavy it is but all the high torque impacts are. I still prefer the Milwaukee, ridgud is a good brand though, d3finetly comparable with the big boys (dewalt&milwaukee) but to test these accuratly you need a dyno and a whole host of other gizmos to accuratly test which one is more powerful. Wheather one can do it on setting 2 and the other cant is irrelevant bc those modes are electronically limited to a certain torque and will vary from manufacturer. Milwaukee also has one that connects to your phone that you can adjust the torque on.
