NR7 might be a more significant range contraction than 4 bars. Can test NR4 to NR10 to see what the results are like. Narrowest Range + Inside Bar might also give interesting results. Cheers!

Volatility breakouts have really been affected badly but the presence of computerized trading systems. I don't even think Toby Crabel is using them anymore. But that's good news for a mean reversion trader like myself. Great video. Thank you. Maybe you would be interested in testing an old-school mean reversion system from Larry Conners and Linda Raschke's "Street Smarts" book called "Turtle Soup." The system fades breakouts.

Why do you use multi charts over mt5

Multicharts more flexible for backtesting without being very good at coding. MQL5 is a tough programming language to learn. Better to use Python with mt5 then you can even try out some machine learning too.

It would be interesting to see the combined equity curve of all the markets (including the unprofitable ones) as one portfolio rather than looking at individual markets.
