I am medium neutral to olive skin tone, so the La Roche-Posay matches my skintone almost exactly. I love that sunscreen! I have never wore foundation over it. Nice to see how it wears under foundation. Thanks for the video!

I was just diagnosed w/skin cancer and had what looked like a simple skin tag on my upper eyelash line removed. Surgery follows in a month. People most commonly get skin cancer on their eyelids b/c they forget or choose to not put sunscreen there. Find a sunscreen sensitive enough for your eyes and be sure to cover them. I heard about the common cancer on eyelids fact about 2 yrs ago so I religiously covered my eyelids since then but it was too late. All those yrs of not covering them did it's damage.

All is good now. I make sure I use a moisturizer w/sunscreen as high as I can find for the moisturizer I like. And then for days at the beach or any other day outside that needs a full on sunscreen, I use any of the ones specifically for the face. Look for the ones that say SPORT on them. Those are usually the best ones with formulas that are not irritating to the eyes. Neutrogena, Coppertone

This was a helpful video. I have only in the last year started using SPF as I have always found it to be greasy and uncomfortable. I have been using Facetheory Amil-C Whip SPF 30 and love it. It is affordable, smells good and doesn't feel heavy on my skin

Such a good video. The reason the Cerave doesn't leave a white cast is because it is sunscreen in a moisturizer. If you look at the active ingredients in your sunscreen, and it contains zinc or titanium oxide it will leave a white cast.

I have such sensitive eyes! It’s been a challenge trying to find an SPF that doesn’t sting my eyes. I have heard to La Roche is designed for sensitive eyes and doesn’t sting. I love the dermalogica sunscreen as it doesn’t sting my eyes but it is expensive

I have very sensitive eyes also and I have had no problems with the LRP. I put it on and around my eyes and I’ve never felt stinging. Even as the day went on, I never felt like sunscreen was going into my eyes

The best brands are Heliocare from Laboratorios Cantabria and ISDIN. Trust me I live in Spain and never burn with these. Btw we should change to mineral formulas because is better for the environment, Madara has a great one too.

I love the elta md 41 physical tint sunscreen especially since I have oily sensitive skin I can get away with the matte foundations and powders for oil control but the sunscreen still makes me feel hydrated and gives the matte foundation a more satin/natural finish

I like Elta MD, tinted, 46 in the pump bottle. I have dry skin and use it in place of foundation. Cera Ve, tinted, is ok, but much heavier. Side part for the win. That is a very flattering part for you.

I only use SPF 50 or 50+. I don't understand about the La Roche Posay 50+ SPF price. We're paying 15,45€ in Europe as is on sale but normal price is 20,45€ (so some 18 $ on sale and 23$ if not). For me the best SPF under makeup is Isdin Fotoultra Age repair fusion water 50, with triple antiphotoaging protection. No white cast, no need to work in into the skin as it's not that thick so it goes into your skin easily and quicker, pricier than La Roche Posay but much better.

My favorite sunscreen is the la Roche posay (anthelios) clear not tinted , flawless no mineral , no white cast , the skin absorbs it right away after application if you have nothing underneath makeup , I have been using it for over 4 years and most importantly is that it does not hurt your eyes if it touches them

I found the supergoop unseen sunscreen was kind of drying for my face, like it provided no hydration for my skin. Tula makes a sunscreen that works well although gives a more dewy look with an spf of 30.

With the way you applied the sunscreens we can’t tell if you are applying the proper amount because you didn’t measure it. Measuring your sunscreen and applying the proper amount would give a more realistic look at how it works under makeup and over skincare because it’s usually a lot more product than you think it should be which is more likely to cause pilling, texture, etc. You also aren’t getting adequate sun protection if you don’t apply the proper amount! I use the CeraVe ultra light lotion with sunscreen every day as my moisturizer. That’s how it’s advertised/packaged not as a sunscreen. It’s great though. I don’t really feel like it gives a matte finish but I have oily/combination skin.

Unfortunately the only problem here is that spf is meant to be reapplied about every 2 hours. Putting a full face of makeup and not reapplying the spf throughout the day is not doing anything for you and you’re still going to get sun damage. I wish it was a 1 n done thing with spf and this would make more sense.

I'm trying different sunscreens; CeraVe moisturizering sunscreen (pills on my skin with and without makeup, I don't like), tinted Coola (doesn't pill with our without makeup, but it looks much on my skin), I love Supergoop Glow screen. Tinted with a glow, didn't look muddy on my skin, and no piling with or without makeup. My next try on with be the Ulta MD. I like tinted because I work in front of a computer all day and the tinted combats UVA, which comes from monitors.

Yes , exactly. Putting makeup on over it and not reapplying the spf isn’t doing much for you after the 2 hour mark. Makes the whole application of sunscreen point less.

Because the proper way to apply skincare is to apply serums, then moisturizers, primer and finally spfs cause if you apply spf prior to primer it makes your makeup peel

Try the Australian Gold Botanical tinted mineral. It comes in 3 shades. It’s about $13 for 3oz at Target, and Ulta has it regularly on BOGO 2nd one 40% off. It’s truly matte so keep in mind if you have dry skin.

Noticed likes & comments VERY low. Me thinks this is due to the lack of interaction or replies/acknowledgements of viewer comments on here. Channels that have a larger number of subscribers, like/heart a comment or respond to, say the first 100 to 200 comments. I understand not replying to 500 plus comments. But when you have only 50 or so, you could heart them and reply to some comments. I've NEVER seen ANY replies to ANY comments on here from Milana/Milabu. People will start to get disheartened by this and stop liking videos or even watching them. I know my view of them have gone down recently. People need to feel like they're connecting with their creators and that it's relatable as well as showing an appreciation for your audience. I follow some smaller creators and they heart and/or respond to almost EVERY comment posted. Even if there's over 200 and it takes them 2 days to do it. Those people have my views and likes. As I'm having interactions with them and feel like I matter/am included with the creator. I even have this with large content creators larger than this channel. They interact with and show appreciation with their viewers/subscribers. Think I may subscriber. I don't find the unrealistically higher end videos relatable for clothing, shoes, beauty tools or makeup. Even the vlogs are becoming unrelatable for me. There used to be more common place products reviewed that were more commonly affordable for the OG subscribers. It's cool to do the odd bougie products now and then, but find the majority of the latest videos unrelatable. No shade. Just how I feel right now about this channel. Don't come for me for my observations and how I personally feel.

Well said and I agree 💯 I have mentioned this before myself. Back in the day before she had 1.5 mil subscribers, she used to respond to questions at least initially as other influencers do. Even the big ones, like you say. A channel this size should have 500 comments. We are the ones who made the channel grow but now she is too big to respond? They are totally removed from their viewers and it makes me less likely to watch. I definitely don’t watch her vlogs. If she doesn’t connect with us why should we care about her house, personal life etc? People crave connection. Her description box used to tell us to leave comments, that she loves to get to know her viewers but I see that disappeared finally. Good bc she hasn’t done so in years. I used to watch every single video. I enjoyed everything from the bougie to the silly Amazon products, she was funny and entertaining. My favorite was the hair and makeup tutorials. Now I’m just like Meh. It seems like her heart is not in it anymore. I bet they are not even reading the comments let alone responding. At least we can talk to each other I guess lol.

I see that people like Manny MUA who has over 4mill subs still reads comments and responds to some as well as some on Instagram etc. Her Facebook also doesn't have any action except her sporadic comments that say what she's wearing or to point something out. KZbin was her main platform when she started and what brings in the money. So she should make the effort to connect with her Subscribers, that pay her wages. If her views drop she loses money same with likes. I have started my own channel and respond to EVERY comment and heart ALL comments. It takes me 2 mins to do and my viewers appreciate it. I've only just begun but if I grow I will do my best to respond. Even people who get over 200 comments I know personally respond to each one even I they say it takes them 2 or 3 days. That's so lovely IMO. I don't like how they are completely unrelatable now and don't even really try talk/connect/engage with viewers/subscribers. Very true what you say.
