I'd love a tutorial on how to reapply sunscreen once you've put your makeup on. I'm good with putting on sunscreen before makeup and try to stay away from the sun, but how do you not ruin your makeup if you need to reapply a few hours later? Thanks for all your hard work!

Try a mineral powder formula sunscreen to reapply over makeup or a "spray on" SPF ... I use the Vichy SPF 50 Invisible Mist 💞.

I use Vichy mist Idéal Soleil SPF 50. It's amazing. Dark light proofs show that it is really effective and you don't even notice it in the skin. It's not oily, dry touch and has a refreshing effect. You can reapply over makeup without problem. And the prize is pretty good. I use it over Isdin Fusion Water SPF 50+ and both work fantastically. And I am very fair of skin (Mac NW15).

Andrea, you should try Paula’s choice sunscreens. There is a matte one that is so lightweight and works as a great primer, and a hydrating fluid version that is also incredibly lightweight. They’re so amazing and have not irritated my very acne-prone skin!

My holy grail is Sesderma Invisible fluid. An Spanish laboratorie. It’s such a beautiful texture, hydrates without been greasy or oily and you feel that it’s doing somethingfor your skin. Eucerin dry touch is fabulous too under makeup but doesn’t hydrates at all. Isdin Age repai is fluid, hydrating and the texture is nice. Thanks for the whole explanation Andrea! For everyone who has a very sensitive reactive skin to sunscreens like me I have two brands to recommend. The AHC and d'Alba sunscreens till now are only ones which didn't cause acne, irritation or other skin troubles. They are both Korean brands and they are worth to try😃

Elta MD is my holy grail- I've had skin cancer on my face and this is the one my dermatologist highly recommends. Supergoop is excellent as well. I use both and NEVER burn and both works well with makeup

I'm always on the hunt for a mineral sunscreen that isn't too heavy, so I was particularly interested to see the EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum Sunscreen. It should be noted, however, it is not solely a mineral sunscreen, it also contains a chemical sunscreen ingredient (Octinoxate). Thought it should be mentioned if anyone (like me) is looking for a 100% physical product.

The problem is yes we apply a sunscreen in the morning before our makeup, but we tend to firget we need to reapply every 2h! So for me I have to buy a Colorscience sunscreen brush to put every 2h on top of my makeup. The base is important like Andreea said because you want to have the perfect product eith your skincare routine, I just want to make sure you reapply throughout the day!!😎☀️

I have my go-to SPF that I recently found and fell absolutely in love with. It’s from a brand called Hello Sunday. They have a line of SPF and the one I chose is called ✨Hello Sunday - The one That’s a Serum ✨ It’s a spf 45, so I think it’s just right. It melts into the skin and I wait just for my niacinamide serum to dry before I apply the spf. It takes a moment to properly sink in but when it does, it’s a really nice and light feeling. It’s got a lot of goodies in the ingredient list too, like niacinamide, allantoin and sodium hyaluranate. There’s also pathenol (so a second B vitamin) as well as jojoba and aloe. Nothing irritating and it’s fragrance free. It has no smell either. Because if something has a smell that’s “funky” (if you know what I mean) I’m not gonna like to wear it. That’s how I am. This one, though, is just right. I actually think that I’ve noticed that my skin has gotten smoother since I started using this - I’m having a lot of salicylic acid and AHA as well in my skincare routine as well as I recently started a retinol journey, so I was a little dry just before I got this spf serum. Also: It hasn’t given me any breakouts. I was a little worried about that but the serum and my skin seems to play well together. So I am a happy camper 😌✌️ I’ve also ordered the Hello Sunday - The one That’s a Primer. If I’m not mistaken that one’s spf. Take care and have a super nice summer 🦋💞🌸

I use avene’s antirougeurs unify. I don’t suffer with redness but it’s great for sensitive skin & it’s tinted so evens out my skin & no need for anything on top. Highly recommend for dry skin.

Yes, please share this look! Josie Maran has a great spf. In white (which turns clear) and tinted which most can wear. (She shows fair skin to deep skin ladies applying it.) i gives a nice look to the skin & on good skin days I go without any other foundation.

Laroche Posay or Biodermal, I always use SPF 50 from spring till autumn. my skin is very vulnerable to skin cancer due to medical treatments in the past. Best is to stay out of the sun from 12 to 3 pm.

My favorite sunscreens are Isdin Fusion Water SPF 50+ (although It was better before they reformulated it), Eucerin Dry Touch Sun Gel-cream SPF 50+ or Rilastil Sunlaude Water Touch SPF 50+ for first protection and Vichy Idéal Soleil mist SPF 50 for reapplying. All of them are lightweight, non-comedogenic, not oily and work pretty well under makeup and by themselves (although Isdin Fusion Water sometimes makes little balls, but only if you rub your face). I've always prefered my sunscreens from pharmacy brands than from cosmetic ones.

The first sunscreen in this video EltaMD is not a pure mineral sunscreen. It contains Octinoxate 7.5% which makes it a mix between mineral and chemical sunscreen. I heard it recommend it from others, but for people looking for mineral ones only, it it not a good one. Thank you for your review and videos, they are all wonderful!

I use Actinica lotion. It’s the only sun screen that doesn’t burn on my skin. I’ve ultra sensitive skin. It’s a ultra high medical sunscreen that’s focused on protecting against skin cancer cells on the skin. It goes on glowy without a white cast and it smells like coconuts, I think. I don’t know where the smell comes from because it has no perfume it in (neither chemical or plant base). But, I’ll recommend it for people with ultra sensitive skin.

Since when I discovered it i use Biore' SPF i never left it! It is not greasy (i have a combination skin), it absorb fast (i have only 15 minutes care/make up routine every working day) and especially it doesn't peel whatever product you used before. Plus since I use SPF every day i wanted something affordable and this is. Another one really good is Eucerin dry touch, also great.

I use an spf foundation from makethemake thats 50 spf, and that is all you need, the color masking any white cast. If im not feeling like wearing foundation but still need spf i use a powder bronzer from sensei with spf 30. I have rosacea and finding these 2 sunscreens that can also mask the redness has taken 4 yrs. Rosacea being a fickle beast it limits what kind of products you can put on the skin without flaring.

Elta UV Clear46 is a hybrid- half zinc and half octinoxate.:) Fun fact from Lab Muffin Beauty i learned- when you apply a moisturizer under SPF, the SPF is less effective. BUT, if you apply SPF then moisturizer then it doesn't bother your SPF. idk how true it is though.

I still enjoy Skinmedica’s skincare products, though two years ago I replaced its sunscreen for the Australian Gold BB cream with mineral sunscreen SPF50. This product costs just €15 in Spain and it is the best for putting below make-up.

UV clear is a hybrid sunscreen not fully a mineral sunscreen as it has Octinoxate as an ingredient which is found in chemical sunscreens and that is why it doesn't leave a white cast

In the US, EltaMD UV Clear is a combination sunscreen (Zinc Oxide & Octinoxate). I don’t know if it is formulated differently in France. I love this sunscreen. ❤️

I like to use RoC sunscreens.I think they are cemical.I love how they leave the face so smooth and make up aplies so nice on top of them.And Melascreen from Ducray.Both are SPF 50+ sold in farmacies.I think they're both french brands.

I have been using the LaRoche Posay Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Vitamin Cg Vitamin E and really like it. Another point is that you should not include your sunscreen in your evening cleaning routine as it will cause large pores over time. Goes on clear and not heavy. I like your blacktop and wanted to ask where did you buy it? Absolutely love your makeup look. You look great with or without fake eyelashes.

I would say that although it IS water resistant, I sweat a bunch and had to reapply throughout the day (which I was supposed to do anyways) An oil cleanser is much needed after a long day of layers and layers of sweat and that sunscreen, but still, it was so easy to apply and reapply, and it was great at its job

Some sunscreens have to also match the base of our makeup I think, like water based foundation would be paired with a water based/mineral sunscreen 🤔 and some need us to reapply sunscreen after 2-4 hours of wear, how (what products) do we reapply over top of markup?

You should try Daylong’s sunscreen for face. It’s so good and long lasting since it’s a Switzerland brand which has not the 2 hours European restrictions. It’s hard to get in French pharmacy but you can find it online 😊
