Great job! With a little practice, you will be able to get your hair as bone-straight as you like with this tool. The trick is in the wrist & positioning of the comb. You must press in a way that presses the inner & outer portion of the root with one sweep, & thats done easier when you have a twist in your wrist. I see you doing it in some sections, but not in other sections. When pressing hair, consistency is key, or else you will have puffiness from missed spots. Caution: bone-straight, even from heat, may not fully revert to your lush, juicy, natural curls. P.S. The glove is for the hand that holds the HOT hair!

As someone who did hair for 30 years this product is going to make money off of people trying it. Look, it is 45 bucks not 300. It needs work and most real professional stylist won't use this generally. If they do use this product they will know exactly HOW to use it and in what way. I believe the goal of the product is to eliminate the blow dry. Some people are suggesting to blow dry first but if you did that (flat attachment with blow dry brush) you might as well just flat iron instead. To me it is going to be one or the or the other. Like the reviewer said the flat iron provides more resistence because it clamps and stretches and then you can follow through with the rat comb. I agree that the power button, tempt gauge, plus minus needs to be taken off the handle and attached as a double power chord on its own consule. The 30 minute cut off needs to go as well. But personally I LOVE the end result. I believe the product does the job and once you got the hang of it with you ends I thought it looked great. Volume, texture, and I don't think everthing need edge control and wax and stuff. It a vibe for sure.
@ArielleNashaye3 жыл бұрын
Thank you 💕 it seems a lot of people didn't understand why I choose not to blow dry first. However I just uploaded a new video using it showing me blow drying first so I guess now they going to say I am using too much heat lol. Can't please everyone. I appreciate your thorough input 🤎

@bisratab1722 жыл бұрын
So, as a professional, dk you say we blow dry first beforw using this? Which option does not harm the hair?
@fiberstyletv2 жыл бұрын
@@bisratab172 Thanks for asking. So first, in terms of harming hair. ANY heat has the potential to cause damage whether mild or extreme. That also goes for any improper management of the hair, from bad products and rough styling techniques. When it comes to this product in the video I would NOT suggest a blow dry first. For me, I went natural and no heat to the least heat is best in my opinion. This product is literally just a hot "brush" and not designed by black people for black hair. Really it is for people with straight hair who need to quickly straighten through their hair and only have maybe 10 minutes to groom themselves before running out the door. The way the youtuber did it is just fine. It all starts with a great clarifying shampoo, moisturizing shampoo and then hydrating conditioner. A thermal protectant water-based leave-in spray is perfect to apply even if you are letting the hair to air dry. Then once the hair is dry this product can be used. A person would have to be okay with roots and edges that are not as straight as they would normally like. Most black women LIKE straight roots, edge control, and low volume. If that is you, then this is not the product to use. Might as well go with a traditional round brush blow dry and flat iron.
@bisratab1722 жыл бұрын
Thank you so so much for your precious time and explaining it in detail. Going purely natural is tough for some hair type though. Do you have a youtube channel i can follow? I need a professional ike you who can show me what products to use and how to avoid heat but make hair managable.

I just brought this tymo straightening comb. You have to be careful about you hand placement. This comb you don’t need to chase or use an additional heating comb or flat iron. This comb is all you need. It straightened my roots I do not have long hair and it worked perfectly. I just went natural about 8 months ago and had trouble doing my hair and styling it. I would do mostly braids. I love love this straightening comb. It leaves your hair feeling light and silky. My husband even noticed!!!!! Leaves your hair extremely straight and silky. I think she needs a little more practice using the tymo. I saw the tymo on fb couldn't believe it would straighten hair like the were showing, I am pleased to say it does exactly that!!!!!!. I brought mines to no advertising for them. Just letting a sista know.
@ArielleNashaye3 жыл бұрын
I had to use a comb to chase because I had just big chopped and my hair was still frantic.. especially my ends. I would have been in pain if I just ripped the straightener through. I like the straightener but it's still another step after the blow dryer which I was hoping to avoid. I'm trying to eliminate heat and lessen my chance of heat damage at the same time lol.
@ArielleNashaye3 жыл бұрын
I agree about the silky hair though, that is UNREAL. I also find my hair stays straight for a while after using this. I could sweat and go out in the rain (not pouring of course) and my hair would puff a little but I just brush it and it's back silky. Hair magic for real
@ShebeBossii3 жыл бұрын
Mine came out great. It definitely gets the roots. It's better at straightening than a flat iron and easier to use. I think you should have blow dried your hair first(that's what I did, using the EZ ION blow dryer brush[which is also amazing]) and then use the Tymo Ring straightener. My hair looked as if I got a silk press or a relaxer after I was done. I can't wait to use it on my daughter's hair(she's so much more hair than I😍).

This worked extremely well for my 3c and my daughters 4a hair type... but on blow dried hair. I find smaller sections with an under and over pass was extremely helpful. I found it takes longer to heat up and it does it pretty hot... cons are button placement. Overall it took less time than a flat iron... hair has body... the true test will be if it stands up to humidity so I guess we’ll find in the spring.

I just have one question, how good is it at straightening the roots? Because I notice that you aren’t getting very close to the roots, and I know for our natural hair if the roots aren’t straight then it’s pretty much pointless to do, and I don’t want to have to go to a salon just to have them straighten the roots for me, or even have to use another device to straighten my roots myself, because then that would again be pointless.

Very. Easy to turn off accidentally and get that blinking light. Light should be steady once temp is reached. If you can’t change temp, it off. Confusing. I did mine comb facing outward. Can get right up to roots that way. Found glove awkward too. Glove should be on hand opposite one holding tool. Have to hold hair flat against plat, all the way into comb.
