Hi rache!! 1st the contour filter works best for round faces not long faces ( see robert welch's explanation) so its ok that it didnt work for you! 2nd the patches on your skin can be melasma which is supper common and happens when your hormones change! Nothing to worry about there! :)

I have been waiting for someone to try out these exact hacks, so thank you! The brows look good I think, and the powder over the mist is like a texture eraser 😍, but that's the only step I'd use out of everything! The leg that you used the gloves on does look a tiny bit darker, but the leg that you used the mitt on was definitely smoother/more even!
@vnokesCO2 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's a lot of steps & a lot of products. I don't think I'd use that much either. Narrowing it down for what you need would be better. Other than too much product, I think it looked good Rachel, even the cheeks & brows. From a distance at least. Close up you can definitely see too much product. Then again, your standard routine works well for you too, & it looks more natural. I agree with you on the legs, Racheal H.
@born_confused2 жыл бұрын
The reason the contour placement doesn't work is face shape. It works great on Nikkie tutorials because she's got a round face. It doesn't look the best on longer face shapes. It works beautifully for me because I've got a rounder cheek shape. I've been doing this for nearly 30 years.

K, so I can't be the only person who cannot stop thinking "if the filter is making everyone's brows higher, maybe the filter is wrong...not your brows"??? Also, the filter moves every time you move. They literally will *never* give you the same spot every time, even on the same person. The filter moves whenever you move, so you really won't get the same thing every time, even if you do it perfectly(without moving your head side to side even, so its legit not even possible to do perfectly)

You can basically recreate the brow filter. In theory it is the correct shape for the face width, the height can be off tho. The filter pretty much just guesstimates from what parts of the brow it recognizes on the face. As for the recreation: You could put a pen/brush (anything long and pretty thin) vertically directly next to your nose bridge, thats where the brow should begin. Then put the pen under the edge of your nose and point it trough the middle of your eye, thats where the arch is supposed to be lined up. For the end point, it should line up with your pen, when you put it from under the side of the nose (again) directly to the outer corner of the eye. Pretty sure I learned this from @hofoshoo on tiktok, cant find the video tho so I could be wrong xD
@emilyg5282 жыл бұрын
The eyebrow filter looked super slanted to me which I feel is why your arches were so different. Also, I have never heard the "orchid or dandelion child" thing but upon hearing you explanation I realize I for sure have an "orchid child", lol.

For the contour/brozer filter-- your face shape is already close to the "ideal" face shape for women! This hack elongates the face, so it is more suitable for those with rounder face shapes. Definitely something to be proud of that this hack isn't for you!❤

Yes! Great decision. I have a friend who shaved her brows in the 80's (different shapes were a thing then, apparently) & now she has to draw them in, as she doesn't have brows anymore. Not saying that would happen with shaving them once, but if you didn't like the effect you'd still have a good wait until they grew back in.

I do use rosehip oil daily underneath makeup. Just 1-2 drops before my SPF, and let it sink in while I’m doing my hair. I find it’s the best primer for my super dry skin and it sits beautifully under makeup. I don’t use foundation or primer though, just concealer and cream highlight, bronzer and blush, and a little powder under my eyes.

Glad you didn't shave your brows! The brow filter is meant to be used without eye makeup on, as it was registering the wing of your eyeliner as the end of your eye, if you used it without eyeliner on it would have been shorter and closer to your natural eyebrow tail 😁
