@brackencloud2 жыл бұрын
also, these arent new? my local pottery painting place has tons of these but unbranded. its not necessarily needed, but it definitely can be helpful when. you have alot of people using the same water
@star1wolf22 жыл бұрын
The appeal I see for it is less cross contamination of color from the water, and fetching a cup/cleaning it out less often. I found when painting smaller sometimes the paint water can mess with color mixing more than when painting bigger. (But I get that other people definitely don’t get as bothered by such things). As far as for bigger paintings it really isn’t as useful and a cup definitely suffices. Plus there’s the “paint puck” I recently saw another KZbinr test which holds more water, has scrubbers to help clean the brushes, and just overall more features lol.
@star1wolf22 жыл бұрын
@@lindseylou413 Ah they should really market it even more for water coloring as that’s another medium that cross contamination of color even in small amounts can be bothersome in.
@jjcymbolic2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, an ideal version of this would have two reservoirs. A deeper one and a more shallow one (except not as shallow as the one in the video.) The shallow reservoir is used to wash your brush first, and the second is to clean off remaining paint. This already the ideal set up for most artists. Having two cups of water makes it so one can get EXTREMELY dirty and still leave the second fairly clear. If they achieved the same with this, where only the shallow reservoir is flushed and not needed to flush every single time, then it would be a super efficient setup.
@twistedmyth5860 Жыл бұрын
As someone that also miniature paints, I agree. It feels pointless, especially when I have an old sauce jar that's on the larger size. Also, I know my cats would drink out of it if I wasn't careful and left it out.

@lucif3rthemself2 жыл бұрын
absolutely same, though by now i have adapted to having three water containers for different "levels" of dirty water and a big jug that I will pour my dirty paint water of the first container into (then I refill that one with the water of the second one because that one is cleaner, I refill the second with the third and then get new water for the third) + a water bottle so I only rarely have to get up to refill now, it's really handy :)
@missemilyjane2 жыл бұрын
@@lucif3rthemself I do the same! I'm new to watercolours but I saw someone else use 2 jugs for dirty and clean, so I use an old cup for the dirty water and then an old mug for the clean water and it's so much easier
