I've noticed that most people tend to start preferring cream products in their mid-20s; I have a pet theory that as teenagers and in early 20s, we're all so self-conscious about our greasy puberty faces that we just want to look as dry as possible to try to combat it, then as we age out of that phase, we realize our previous hyper-matte routine isn't nearly as flattering when we aren't fighting the oil we used to have.

100%! It's the matte textures age you more. Double wear used to be my ride or die, but when I hit 30 I've now had to change to nars radiant (which is AMAZING btw!), and cream products, as otherwise it accentuates EVERY line, and makes you see lines and wrinkles you never knew you had! And actually ages you! Cream products and non matte formulas are so much more youthful looking :-)

Hey soph! Goodness knows if you'll see this but I just want to let you know that your videos are truly a lifesaver. My mum and dad divorced when I was very little. I see my dad once every two weeks. With constant new lockdown restrictions in south wales I haven't been able to see him like normal because I am not comfortable with travelling at the moment. He doesn't understand at all. For the NYX lipgloss if you actually fully let the color dry and put the gloss on, you have to let it really sit and sink into your lips and it actually gives that moisturized gloss look and the gloss doesn’t come off too much. I had mine under a mask and it still looked glossy when it came off!

Mine too! I've found that exfoliating that area really well before a big makeup application (I'm a performer, so sometimes crazy heavy gross makeup is unfortunately thing) helps with that A LOT. I usually wash and exfoliate my face about an hour before makeup, and let my moisturizer absorb in the meantime, and since I've been doing that it's been like night and day. Give it a whack!

I've got the same problem as you with products coming off or balling up at the exact same part of my face, like right beside my eyes and eyebrows. But for me it's more serums and especially my SPF. I’ve tried blotting the lipstick instead of letting it dry and I find that helps with the sticky-ness and then applying the gloss and I think that helps loads because then as the gloss does wear off it isn’t very sticky
