You still ended up looking super cute. Hacks are supposed to make life easier or save money or time. Here's one that I use for my skincare serums.... I use silicone thumb cots - like finger cots but for the thumb so they are a bit bigger - over my index and middle fingers on both hands to be able to massage and press in the serums without dragging finger skin against face skin and having the serum sink into the finger tips. If there is more than enough of the face, I just use the cot to transfer it to the back of my hands. I use less serum now to cover the face and it feels amazing.

When you’ve been here that long you remember Soph doing nail videos, her love for Mac lipstick, along with Emma and her absolute love for Mac makeup! The hack with putting contour on the dip under your nose works great with a cool toned contour combined with highlighter on your cupids bow, makes the cupids bow much more pronounced and as a result can make the top lip look slightly more plump! Just a tip for anyone :) loved this vid Soph 💕

Speaking of hacks, I always heat my mascara up with my thighs. It's super good once your mascara starts drying up! Revives it a bit.

I do use a liquid lipstick as a liquid-cream blush.But not super liquidy ones,they don't give you much time to play with and are usually drier and cant put more layers. A cream-whipped liquid lipstick it's better (nyx liquid suede,for example) are much more creamy and easy to blend and you have many more color to choose than your regular blushes :)

Yeah... Whenever I use actual foundation, I ALWAYS mix it with some sort of moisturizer, a lightener, and then some sort of glowing/ dewy product! All of that really thins the foundation out, and makes such a luminous looking finish that it looks pretty natural!!!! 💗

My fave hack is one I learnt in a Jackie Aina vid, basically generously apply cream/liquid blush (and contour highlighter for me) BEFORE foundation, apply the foundation in a light layer, then use the powder blush (plus bronzer highlighter etc) over top and it looks so good and flawless.

At the moment I’m using an acne cream for my skin and it’s dried it out so badly! I tend to have oily skin but I’ve changed my makeup recently to a light coverage foundation and a higher coverage concealer on my acne and then I use a light dusting of powder in the areas in need it most! I’ve found that helps me to achieve the glowy look while still covering my acne. Hope this somewhat helps! Xx

Full coverage cream concealer instead of liquid, and dewy setting sprays will help you out with reducing the appearance of dryness!

I can definitely do this when my skin isn’t as good! I agree with the comment below, use a lighter coverage foundation but a full coverage concealer just on spots where you need it! Put the concealer on spots and leave it there for a couple minutes to let it dry down, then blend, and it will give more coverage! Also use a setting spray at the end to make it look less cakey 😊

In the early 2000s me and my friends used to use Vaseline on our eyelids, no eyeshadow, just a wet look lid. And we smeared it on our cheeks as a kind of highlighter too. We just looked very greasy.

Hey Soph, from Northumberland. I've done the moisturiser hack for absolutely years, either to make my foundation last longer, thin out old thickened foundation or simply to lighten a too dark foundation, its certainly been a good one to know. I studied beauty and hairdressing back in the 80's wow I know, and a lot of what is done now is alot, i love that you often use bronzer as a contour as it works really well. For dry skin types, like myself foundation can cling to patches of dry skin, even after moisturising, so adding moisturiser helps, depending on the foundation you can build the coverage, I'm older now and have to deal with fine lines also and find too much concealer and powder makes them look worse. Less is more for me. Love your content. ❤
