Im am shocked that so many people choose the MS society. It feels like a disease that is often looked over. But when I heard that I cried because I was recently diagnosed with MS at 22 suffering for about 4 years now with symptoms that can be scary and painful and my heart goes out to anyone battling this disease. Thank you Mia ❤

I have a childhood/life long friend who was diagnosed with MS in high school that passed away in August. She was diagnosed around 15 and passed at 35. She had progressive degenerative MS so she never went into periods of remission. She fought so hard for so long, and was never able to live on her own, get married or have kids. But always remained so positive. I miss her so much. Thank you for donating to MS research.

@@MiaMaples actually thank you so much for donating to MS research. My dad was diagnosed with MS in 2019 and we have no idea how long he has had it but he has a rare form of it called MOG disease and it has barely any research on it besides the immune system attacks his nerves and spinal cord. My father was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2009. Since then, he has gradually stopped feeling half of his body. Dad is a working, cheerful man who likes sports. Thanks to a similar foundation in the Czech Republic as MSS he can be treated. We hope that the treatment will give him the opportunity to move for a longer time than without it. There is also the possibility that he could live longer than without it. I want to do everything for my dad with my family and a foundation like MSS helps us with that. the trendy “tennis skirts” that are popular now aren’t actually tennis skirts- actual tennis skirts are made of performance material, have built in shorts, are much shorter, and aren’t pleated. plus these days most competitive players (not necessarily pro, just most serious high school and college players) opt for shorts.

I was diagnosed at 30 years old with MS. Was told at the time it was either MS or a brain tumor. Went into the hospital on 9/11/2001 and received the diagnosis. I have been blessed to have relapsing remitting MS. Thank you for your generous donation.

The donations are AMAZING! You're so kind! If its not too late, I hope I can suggest either the Innocence project OR the last prisoner project. Both do amazing work helping people who are in prison on a false conviction (the Innocence project) as well as those still in jail on nonviolent drug offenses in stares where said drugs are now legal, or becoming legal. Awesome video as always!!!!

I feel like they should let that person go then. I get that a sentence is given by a judge or a jury and it carries weight of the law and justice etc etc, but if Lady Justitia (personification of justice, not a deity) was real, she'd bang our heads against those metal scales until we agree to let those ppl out ⚖️👀

Hi Mia, I watch ALL of your videos. I feel like you’re one of the most genuine KZbinrs & I just love how you present yourself. The organization you’re donating to in this video really hit home for me. My grandma on my moms side passed away with MS when my mom was a little girl & my mom was diagnosed with the same disease & has been struggling ever since. I’m crying right now because you are such a good person & that’s so hard to find in this world right now. I appreciate everything you do in the KZbin community using for voice for good instead of promoting hate is so wonderful. Keep being you Mia, the Maples family is so loved by my family! ♥️

My aunt had one of the worse ms cases a dr ever seen. She completely became immobilized and couldnt do anything for herself, she could remember who people were. And she actually was in a nursing home and they didnt take care of her properly, and she fell out her wheel chair and broke her collarbone and had severe bedsores!!! She eventually sadly passed away!!! But she was a big part of my life and I LOVE and appreciate this weeks donation so much!!! It hits close to home!!!! Thank you Mia, ur amazing!!!!

I know you probably won’t see this…BUT THANK YOU for donating to the National MS Society!!! I was diagnosed with MS in 2010 when I was just 20 years old. It has changed my life forever but I remain hopeful one day for a cure. Oddly enough, both my parents have MS but fortunately they’re both in remission and doing well. Mine is much more severe and active. Anyway, thank you so much for donating to a charity that is so near and dear to my heart! 🧡 you are a gem, Mia, especially in the crazy world we live in.

I was so surprised and happy to see you donated the MS society. My mom was diagnosed 5 years ago and struggles everyday. Treatments were not effective for her and she was put on chemo pills. With the pandemic and her status as immunocompromised she had to quit her job as a nurse. Everyday I hope the treatments will start becoming effective so she can get some of her life back. Thank you for raising awareness and being so generous ❤️
