RE: "I really don't wanna talk bad about a brand because of a shipping issue." But Mia! shipping and handling accurately is also part of the responsibility of a company! It would be different if the issue was just purely shipping where the shipping company has lost/damaged your package (and most brands take accountability for even those issues) but the brand itself got your order so terribly wrong :( I think that would be reason enough for many consumers to be turned away from the brand; ESPECIALLY because they're supposed to be a higher end brand. People expect a pleasant shopping experience when they spend more money! TLDR; it is a completely valid reason to call a brand out on shipping/handling issues as big as this one.

They refunded her initially for the pieces they didn't have and so she went back on and ordered some others, then her order arrived and it was all wrong, she should have contacted them immediately and left this video for another time when she finally got everything she actually ordered.

As someone who has worked in a warehouse shipping online retail orders, there is absolutely no excuse for messing up your order so spectacularly. You should turn people away from a brand that doesnt even have a proper inventory control system in place. I can count on ONE HAND how many times we refunded based on inventory errors in the four years I worked there. We shipped shoes, not bathing suits, but I cant imagine that the process is terribly different. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience, it's very disappointing.

Problably they don't have a good system for controlling their stock, most likely they filed things wrong, when you buy something the product has a code that is sent to be separate, they must be storing things with the wrong codes so they may think they have a piece but once they go get it is actually another different piece with the code of the one you bought, the same for the pieces they send you, the person that got didn't look before sending, just trusted the code. Probably they still have stock of pieces that appear to be sold out somewhere else too.

Every online business should know to throttle their stock to avoid exactly these issues. I've never heard of them and is never but from them. If you're looking for a nice swimsuit, I'd recommend Indigo Swimwear or Kore. They both make beautiful pieces!

Maybe the company thought they had stock of those items left but didn't because they kept sending wrong items out like maybe based off the numbers of those items bought they were meant to still have stock, but it turned out they kept sending the wrong items to people so they used up all their stock. Then when I emailed them (thats the only way to get ahold of them) I was ghosted until I had already placed another order because I thought I wasnt going to get the masks. I bought a swimsuit at like... 120$ a long long time ago... still have it. Still good. Still fits because of the way it is done. The color is not washed out from the salt or chlorine. I think you pay for the fact you never really have to buy one ever again :D And it is double fabric.

I really loved everything. There’s a brand in my country, Peru. The brands name is Capittana and the swimsuits are pricey but they work with andean womans and every bikini are made by hand. So i think it’s worth the price because we are helping those women’s that are in need and the work they made is gorgeous. As a lingerie and swimwear designer, there are a couple things that can factor such high prices, such as: 1. Fabric quality - certain fabrics are better than others, obviously, but not only that, there are eco fabrics (they cost more) thicker fabrics and fabrics that don't fade in chlorine/sun/salt water can all play a part in the pricing 2. The design - naturally if its a mass produced simple shape that has minimal stitch detail and elements, this will be cheaper than a lined, intricate and detailed pieces (like ruffles, strapping detail, etc.), especially if they include more than one fabric type (textures, prints) or colour type because you have fabric quantity minimums. Also the use of trims, some are better than others, metal in particular has to be tested for lead and heat conductivity so it doesn't burn you in the sun - yikes! 3. Construction - along with design, the construction is so much more involved than a tshirt or a dress for example, it has to fit perfectly to the body, we all know with a poorly fitting swimsuit there is no where to hide, more expensive pieces will have a rigorous fitting process before production, unlike a tshirt for example which is pretty standard and can fit tight, loose, oversized and you'll be able to style it out 4. Quantities & Minimums - as mentioned above there are minimums in not only fabric but number of pieces per style. It will cost you more to make 100 swimsuits as apposed to 1000 (believe it or not) it has to do with the factories seeing it as a waste of their time and effort to set up machinery for such a small amount of pieces. Fabric suppliers will also charge a premium for buying less fabric because the cost of setting up the looms and knitting the fabric isn't worth their time for such small amounts Granted with all of this considered, it doesn't justify $250 for a swimsuit, but it could definitely influence the pricing architecture. It may very well cost someone $50-75 to make a swimsuit with everything involved so it would need to be sold at $150 for the person to even make a profit on it Just my take Haha (:

The take away message is "don't buy from dippin daisies" she didn't receive the items she ordered, received item she didn't order, didn't receive items in the size she ordered and that's not mentioning the order/refund issue. If this company doesn't do returns a person that isn't an influencer would fork out there money and get completely screwed over.
