The Aussie Lawn yessir, it wasn’t too bad at my house! People on further south took it a little harder, but Hanna was a gentle storm compared to others.

Man that is crazy good water pressure! Here in sydney I get no more than 50psi out of my taps and about 20 to 25 litres per minute only.

Wow that’s not very good . Poor bugger I’d struggle to cope with that pressure I feel for you

When you turned the valve on the pressure gauge went to zero. What is more important to know for irrigation, the static water pressure or dynamic water pressure?
@caveman58314 жыл бұрын
Sweet, cheers mate coz i need to work out how many sprinklers to put in my tiny back yard very soon and this info should help.. i also need to work out how many heads ill need and the distances to put them at with out getting dry spots..

Caveman awesome mate good luck with the irrigation project

Just a curious observation/question. When you are doing flow rate, wouldn't you adjust ball valve to optimum operating pressure of your chosen device heads/nozzles. For example lawn popup nozzles around 280kpa, then while that is maintained on the pressure gauge, time how long you fill your bucket?
@theaussielawn2 жыл бұрын
The test here is to measure maximum flow rate the ball valve allows the water to start flowing at maximum available rate to give the most accurate reading on the stopwatch as possible.
@ashleydonovan30878 күн бұрын
Essentially don't need the pressure gauge or any of that then, as it doesn't seem necessary. Just a bucket under the tap. I was then told to take 30% off that to get the lpm to design your retic off. But, I was taught to do the bucket test with the pressure set at optimum pressure and then just take 10% off that. 🤷

Great video. Hope to see the install. How much was it worth for the test gauge and valve set up?
@theaussielawn4 жыл бұрын
Yeah mate the video will be coming in spring time . The most expensive bit was the valve and pressure gauge. The rest I had laying around at home. So $20 for pressure gauge and bout that for the ball ball valve .

Great video! Quick question, wanting to put irrigation in aswell as concrete down the side of the house, would it be fine concreting over the lines running to the front etc
@theaussielawn4 жыл бұрын
Jay Breen yeah mate I have lines under concrete, just try to avoid joins or fittings underneath the concrete because if one fails you won’t be able to reach it 🤘
@Earthau4 жыл бұрын
How many lpm did you get out of that tap at home Brenton? I just went and remeasured mine and I am only getting 12.5lpm.

Hi Samuel thanks for tuning in. Do yo mean in regards to the pressure tester? I actually built it up from the ground with 19mm irrigation fittings its not actually sold as a "kit" so to speak. Is that what you mean or have I missed something else?
