Some bastard aftermarket relay hooked up to my power windows in my 65. Got the oem relay online. There are 4 prongs. Which wire goes where?

Hmm....I'm thinking of using some starter relays for those windows....overkill, but would work. You should watch my videos on 'relays'. It explains in detail how relays work and how to ID them. In order to answer your question, I need more info: are there any identifying letters on the terminals?size of terminals. type of relay. The wires can be connected in more than 1 way and to multiple terminals (e.g. there are 2 output terminals sometimes even more).

On my 65 TBird; the driver's power window works find. The other 3 (passenger and 2 small rear ones) just 'click' when activating the switches. I know the passenger window motor is new (I just bought the car). So, I know there is power... any ideas? thanks!

If there's power to a brand new working motor then you're missing something, or... It could be that the wire has developed high resistance. You'll see voltage but there will be little amperage. What I always for electrical issues: follow the wire.

So I'm assuming your window motor wasn't grounded? Was your window relay good then? Just after you found ground & the motor engaged your video cut off which is why I'm asking.

It was everything. Bad ground wire due to rust, the motors themselves were garbage ( and expensive). Someone tried to fix them, they soldered some connections. Someone installed the springs wrong so that the spring force was bigger than that of the motor. I'm going to just replace those motors by electric lifts. Should be a huge improvement and cheap.

Why didn't you just bypass the relay that's what I did years ago I don't care if the windows work when the key isn't on
