Apparently, Testo has shipped three models of this "552" thus far: "0560-5520;" "0560-5521;" and "0560-5522". They made dramatic changes to the design between the 5520 and 5521 without changing the product number. The '20 (demoed here) had an absolute pressure sensor, a 2400-hour battery life, and a range up to 1100 mbar (825,080 microns) so, it could display a reading at atmospheric pressure as you see in this video. The '21 got a Pirani sensor instead, which shortened the battery life to 50 hours, and limited the range up to only 26.66 mbar (20,000 microns). Anything above this is "overrange" and displays as "oooooo." I actually purchased a 552 based on the full-range reading seen in this video and was sorely disappointed to find that mine was not full-range, like the original model and competitors like Appion. They really should have changed the product number after making such big changes to the design and specs.

@@Puffalupagus360 Same here. Just got and Mine leaked out of the box. Replacement on the way. Worrying for the future though that they can leak.

Was thinking today, they should make a micron gauge probe like the high/low pressure smart probes that just hooks to the service valve (like you get with the testo gauges) and make it Bluetooth compatible so you can read it through the testo smart app

Hello. I have testo 552 like yours. Mine at rest shows 000 microns but yours shows 699,000. How is this? is there any setting?

Looks like it took a long time to dead head that gauge. I have the 550 and the 557. The 557 and my yellow jacket show different readings (clean probe, new oil etc). The yellow jacket is constant where the Testo (557) won't reach as deep when cold (outside -20C). Wonder if this would have the same issue?

looking into buying the testo 550 . is the 552 required when doing a vacuum or can the 550 be used ?
@fixithvac93608 жыл бұрын
The micron gauge (552) is not required! If you run the vacuum long enough and make sure you don't have leaks you will have no problems.
@mance79965 жыл бұрын
If you care about what you do you will need to use micron gage(552),550 does not have that feature ,I like to use my 552 along with my 550 just to make sure my job is done correctly..
