Can you please make a video with examples on how to easily spot the difference between enantiomers, diastereomers, and mesocompounds in fisher projection? I know what these are but i can never (at least in a timely manner) make the distinction when given multiple choices.

If you swap the position of 2 groups attached at a single carbon intersection on a fisher projections then the stereochemistry of that carbon changes, so R -> S or S ->R. If you swap 4 groups then stereochemistry at that carbon intersection remains the same. Enantiomers have different steriochem at every intersection, so the left and right groups at every intersection will swap. Diasteromers differ at some ciral carbons but not all, the left and right groups will be swapped for those that differ. Mesocompounds just have internal symmetry, which can be easily seen with a fisher projection by drawing a vertical or horizontal line

Can you please do a video on ELISA? Thanks for this amazing content!
@EightfoldMCAT2 жыл бұрын
I have a bit of a video backlog at present, but I am open to topic suggestions. What about ELISA gives you trouble? You don’t really need to understand that much about how it works thankfully since it is mostly used to visualize data and is typically mentioned in passing in a passage.
