I can think of 2 things, that you could do with the nests. Either using them in some way - for ant colonies, termite colony, some kind of experiment or selling them/setting up your own ant store.

My guess is that you will move queens with maybe 1 or 2 nanatics and the rest will go to ant queens from nuptial flights as you wouldnt needlessly risk moving ants into them just for the sake of it. What grout do you use to make your nests?

It's a local brand name ABC tile grout buddy. I have a DIY version of sanded grout on my short videos recently buddy check it out.

You are constantly creating new ways for life to thrive and making it so much easier for aspiring ant enthusiasts to understand. My guess is, since you were worried about how deep these chambers were, you have plans for either termites, smaller species of ants, or ofc course a single queen ant that without any workers. Since finding your channel, I have collected over 4 species of ants in my back yard and never did I realize how much fun it is watching these little life vessels create a colony from nothing.

I think that you will use these nests as part of a late or medium outfield setup with the nests on the back wall all connected by intricate tubing that leads to the rest of the outworld. Or, you will use these for newly caught queens, or, you will use these for a best setup of small to medium sized ants with the nests all connected or in the same place, or you use these nests for experiment queens, or, you will use these for extra nests just to have on hand.

Hello d colony i was hiking in salaysay and i saw some undiscovered species i think. i caught 1 nest with 50 red giant ant and i found their queen and i saw a cool carpenter ant nesting in a huge tree and crematogaster ants with a wasp like nest also caught them and i saw shiny crematogasterant which were cool and a rare spiny ant u think it was huge and my favorite part HUGE ORANG TRAPJAW ANT pure orange and is the biggest ant ive ever seen bigger than the banded sugar ants now i dug they're nest and i found their eggs but i dint get them since my cousin told me they bite pretty hard and they dug pretty deep so i dint got any of them and i now they're were my dream ants along with army ant/aencictus i alr have them just realeased them in the wild and carebara diversa hope u read it all d colony❤😊

Also one my fire ant colony(the largest colony) escaped so i realeased them to the wild and gave them their queen now they are invasive but i feel sad about them bc i elimated one of my fire ant colony by doing a ant war and also we dont have alot of fire ants in our area plus we kill alot of them so i didn't kill the colony. Also i got a diacamma ant colony and banded sugar ants😊❤

I think all the additional nests are going to be used for an experiment. You're going to be adding new queens of the same species into the different nests and monitoring how the different colonies grow as compared to traditional test tube setups.

I would really like to keep pet ants, but as I live in Finland our native species needs to brumation during winter and it's quite hard to achieve. I really don't think it would be wise to keep ants in a refrigerator half a year. So I'm just enjoining the content. Thanks for the nice video and nest building instructions. Quality work as always.

My guess is that you will have an experiment (preferably with different ant species) of this new formicarium in line with the hydration construction, Closed hydration (ants cannot access the hydration tube) vs. Open hyrdation (ants CAN access the hydration tube) @11:00

Maybe in the smaller one you'll house the ponerinae queen you caught In others maybe you'll house small crematogaster colonies Selling is another option, but you probably won't do it as you will be giving away the better ones and keeping the ones that have chipped edges, so they aren't good enough to sell
