Travis - fantastic summary of TET. Appreciate your insights on the Lunar Holiday in Vietnam and the traditions we witnessed throughout DaNang. Hope you had a great celebration with Family and Friends. Cheers...Doug and Beverly

I spent my first Tet holiday in Nha Trang this year and I have to say that it was very hard to cope with the amount of traffic, noise and masses of people moving around. The restaurants were overloaded and it was total chaos. We ended up several times to wait for ages and got the wrong food. Higher prices everywhere, scooters driving on sidewalks, blasting music from every corner since 6 am. It was brutal. Now, that the holiday is over the city looks and feels like heaven. If you LOVE noisy celebrations you will love it, but if you don't, just make sure you are not in a major holiday destination like Nha Trang

G'day Travis and Loan, Happy Tet, my eldest son is celebrating Tet in Saigon this year with his Vietnamese partner and family. Every year Kellie and I celebrate Tet with my whole Vietnamese family and yes I love eating Moon Cake & taking it home and eating it weeks later. Don't forget chicken feet so so yummy lots of fun. Can't wait to celebrate Tet in Vietnam 🇻🇳 one day soon. Hope to see you in Melbourne for the upcoming Rugby World Cup. Cheers Louis Kats and Kellie K from Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺 👍

The full name for this primary holiday is Tết Nguyên Đán. Almost 99% of the Vietnamese called it Tết, due to laziness of addressing it.

in America, we get 1 holiday per month or so, but in vietnam its 1 giant 2 week holiday. which gives everyone enough time to go back to their hometowns and visit their families
